  1. you should really hook up a thermostat to your fan... unless you NEVER sit in traffic, or are NEVER in a rush to get to work/school. ^^^ *speaks from experience* ^^^
  2. yeah. My goal is high 13's maybe low 13's, in terms of quarter mile performance, However, I only use that as a measuring stick. I care more about corners than straight line acceleration. I think this setup would be better than my current fuel injection manifold, if done correctly... no... I'm SURE it will be.

I'd say check your grounds and all connections... (isn't that the source of all electrical problems anyways?)
  4. it seems like you can do it for less than 400 for the pair now a days, sourcing out your own parts.

A must to anyone building a performance engine.
  6. It all depends on what you want. If you find one, a CLSD from a 300zx will give you a good return if you sell it for more, but the chances of finding one are slim. only thing you should be pulling off a 4x4 is the calipers. One year maxima had an adapter you can use on the back of the Z to put 280zx disc brake calipers on.
  7. for example, kameari. wow. I was born one dacade too late.
  8. From the cranecams website: Overhead Cams Degreeing A Camshaft...The Easy Way
  9. I'm one of the few who does not follow the crowd. No turbos for me.
  10. I can't wait until 350z owners start comming here and have ls1 swaps going on. I think it would be cool!
  11. that looks good. Did you trace it or draw by hand? it seems like there is some sort of modified G-nose on there?
  12. in some cases aren't they bolted on as well as welded? or is it one or the other?
  13. sorry, i don't have a source for center caps, but will you post pics of those wheels when they are on your 'teg? i'd really like to see how they look
  14. I like the hood vents. I have always been a fan of tilting the top of the radiator forward and sending the outgoing air out the hood, for a little downforce, a la blue oval z and others as well...
  15. Thanks John. I shall henceforth call compression readings cranking psi, instead of dynamic cr. Your response was exactly what I was looking for. I figured an engine with a pent roof or hemi crossflow head would do much better with >200 "cranking psi" than a 2 valve non-crossflow L-engine head. I am curious what my cranking compression will be when I install a cam.
  16. i spray painted my name under my hood... and a nissan logo under that. It doesn't look that great but it sets my car apart! lol other than that it would have to be my airdam. I know the pinks z has it, and a few other have it, but it seems pretty rare.
  17. you have the boost gauge clocked with the 25psi at the 12 o'clock position... does this mean your planning on running 25 psi ???
  18. I would suggest doing what ed did and sit in your car while it is raining and observe where the water is comming in from. Also, there have been threads on here before (search!) that detail using grease to see how well a surface (the door or hatch) is sealing against the gasket.
  19. dude, that headlight mounting flange is NOT "frame." you can bend that back yourself.
  20. I really like the look of six horns just sitting there but any airbox would work to hide the injectors and wiring and piping.
  21. a rotary period would be hard. In fact i'm pretty sure its made out of steel in some areas... steel is pretty hard right?
