  1. Thanks for the write up Paul! One question, MS related, when using the edis-X module, is it no longer necessary to use multiple vb921 coil drivers? Is the edis system acting as the coil driver? Also, I've been thinking after I get MS running on my car, theoretically if I wanted to grab an edis-6 and adapt it, I could continue to use the 83 turbo distributor as a CAS (CAM angle sensor) and do a non-wasted spark setup... correct? -Oliver
  2. Yeah, tinted headlight covers always look awesome on black z's. Especially with those big a$$ fog lights, its not like you're going to miss any headlight power by going tinted.
  3. Wow looks great with that airdam! are headlight covers on the to-do list?
  4. it could be a car used for testing SUV roll overs... the mechanism on top could attach to some sort of anti roll device? idk...
  5. Cool stuff! How long have you been doing this for? My first attempt at cutting out my floors and welding em in was bad, I couldn't imagine doing any sort of cosmetic repairs.
  6. hey you got in and your car's not even RHD!

    bad idea?

how about running a muffler/resonator/glasspack where the cat was and running pipe to to each side for the dual exhaust look? or get a muffler... 1-in 2-out, and continue doing the exhaust that way. one real muffler is lighter than 2 hollowed out ones
  8. try a 3 foot pipe sticking way out of the car. I fixed my fumes by doing the tail light gaskets and making sure the hatch was well sealed with the gasket. Also, the holes in the hatch were sealed, and the bumper bracket holes, from when I removed my bumper. LOTS of little holes back there, you just gotta track 'em all down.
  9. well, I'd say 944's have plenty of trunk space. Thats just ridiculous...
  10. hmm i am putting just under 10,000 miles a year on my z, it is not a hybridz, just a slightly modded L6. oh yeah, I drive it everyday.
  11. This would definitely be a crazy project, but there doesn't seem to be much market out there for CNC ported L-heads. I'm still interested in this though.

yeah, thats what I was looking at... that and the 86
  13. hawtness. Did you put the plastic cover over them? hard to tell in the pics
  14. great info! how does it all compare to a belt drive? forgive the newbish question
  15. is that a 2piece or 3piece wheel? or are the bolts decoration?
  16. I think i ended up using 35amp glass fuses with a cheap little 4 fuse holder. It worked wonders after my car kept shutting off in the middle of an autox session.
  17. LOL!!! maybe we can get the valve cover to fit somehow... J/k
  18. cool, was custom the only way? The ones you had before had a chromoly top ring, iirc. These are all cast iron? sorry i didn't get to ask you these questions on the phone earlier.
  19. wow, finally one rumor to cross off the list... maybe some day someone will buy a mercedes head, a bmw head, and a rb2Xde head and put the dohc L myth to rest as well.
  20. mmmm thoughts of a 4ag swap are swirling in my head...
  21. maybe try a heavier weight oil? but as grumpy said, you will be wasting alot of engine parts by doing this.
