  3. Don't know if you read this thread by bumble zee, he's from Grand Rapids Mi., but in his write up in post #17 that person had also not used the emmision sensors.   7. I have had Ross's adj. rear control arms on since April 06 and there have been no problems. My R-230 conv. has been in since AUG. 05 also with no problems using Ross's conv. parts. My alignment guy loved the fact that he could adj. the rear wheels while the car was on the rack. This procedure only took a few minutes. LARRY

  13. The engine coolant temp has to be above 221*F for it to come on. LARRY
  14. All 280ZX'S have it. It's called the auxiliary cooling fan. It comes on after you shut the engine off and runs for about 15 min. to aid in starting a hot engine. It cools the fuel to the injectors and in them. If you turn your car back on before that time the fan shuts off. LARRY
  15. I will answer this question now.... Every usable part from the Pinks car is going with it to Dan's house. Keep in mind that some donated parts never made it from FLA./TX. to Doc's home. We suspect they are on some former member's cars or were sold or traded. Let's not rehash the past in this thread or it will be locked...... LARRY

  17. We are going to build two cars associated with HybridZ. Super Dan is flying to my place and trailer back to his place my 72 240Z. Dr. Hunt will trailer his 74 260Z to Dan's place and drop it off. Doc will pick my 240Z up at Dan's place and take it back to NM. Both of these cars are being donated to HybridZ. The 260Z at Dan's place will use parts from the Pink's car and be a 6 cylinder Turbo build. We want to see what the Pink's build could really have done.... The 240Z at Doc's will, at this point, be a V8 Single Turbo build. The movement of the cars will happen next month. There will be a dedicated Forum for these two builds that will be open to all members. The build and the forum will be controlled by the Admin staff. The forum will have specific rules to follow and they will be enforced and monitored. These cars will have full interior and good paint jobs. We will be looking for members to help on these projects. This is just a snap shot of the projects, more details will be in the new Forum. 72 240Z- V8 Single Turbo 74 260Z- L6 Turbo LARRY

  19. My 75 280Z is not lowered either and so trust what's posted here. That's if you want to drive it more than back and forth in the garage. I'm running 2 1/2 in. from the collector to the sidepipe. Notching the frame gave me 4 1/2 in. clearance and I still have to watch for speed bumps and the depth of entrances and exits to places. About using Patriot or Dynomax pipes, don't worry about your power loss. Compared to the NA 6 you will have more than enough power unless you are going for a race built car which you wouldn't want sidepipes anyway. I'm not going to post any pics on this thread, there's enough pics in this forum of my sidepipe set-up at this point now. LARRY
