  1. LOL... If you had posted this on the Classic Zcar site you would have stirred up a hornet's nest regarding the claims of Goertz and the 240Z design. Here is a good read...http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23839&highlight=goertz LARRY

Damn Nissan... After further checking on my 80 280ZX all they put on those Id plates was HS130...... I have the FSM and the lettering to indicate what rear end you have is not on any of those plates or tags..... The lettering was only on the dealer's invoice. Therefore I'm modifing my original post. Pull the cover...... LARRY
  3. I don't know if this answers your question but I used the 300ZXTT front mount by shortening the pass. side and used the existing mounting holes as shown in the second picture in post # 11. LARRY

Do you have the ID number plate on the drivers side top of the dash. It has the car model and serial number on it. You have to look thru the winshield glass. Also in the engine compartment on the cowl top behind the battery is the car Id plate that has your car type. LARRY

Using the 1980 280ZX as my example, there was a USA Calif. model, USA non - Calif. model, and a Canada model. There was 10 different models of this mix using the R-180 and 9 models using the R-200. What diff. came with these cars depended on where it was to be sold, what trans it had in it, if it was a 2+2 or GL model and if it had T-TOPS. LARRY
  6. The answer to your three questions is ...No. The R-200 Must. bar was redrilled to fit the R-230 diff. The rear sway bar needed to be mod. to fit. The driveshaft length needed to be mod. to fit. A pic of Ross's adj. rear control arms... LARRY
  7. I take it this is a 76 280Z. I'll start you on this, The black wire is for the alt. and the electronic fuel injection relay. LARRY
  8. Nope, I like the looks I get when I say we're stopping to get gas when the guage reads full..... LARRY

  15. Let me just say this about the above comment, Jason and I both run Weiand blowers. Roots style blowers by nature generate more heat than a N/A engine. In 30/40 degree weather I still run at 192-200 degree temps around town and 200-210 degrees on the open road. I've been doing this for 5 years and this is a "normal" operating range for my set-up which includes a Taurus 2-speed fan and alum. rad. This is not considered a "hot" running condition for my combo and the motor remains in great shape.... LARRY
  16. Happy Birthday Doc.. Doc's coming to my place in Fairfield Ca to pick up my 72 240Z for the next build.... LARRY
  17. BRAAP is correct. The door glass is the same thru the 6/76 build date. LARRY

  19. A great Jazz band/Session drum player a few decades ago was named Cozy Cole. He had a top fourty hit in the late fifties named TOPSY PART 1. In High School our group of guys took nicknames and because my last name is Cole I choose Cozy Cole. I added the Z because of the four Z's I own. People back in my home town in Ill. still call me Cozy when I visit. LOL LARRY
  20. Although I live near the San Francisco Bay my "sports heart" is still in Chicago where I lived and worked for 16 years. Congrats Bears and Good Luck in Miami.... LARRY
