Can someone please explain this part: On the length note did mentioned 3-5 ft, 3-4 ft what does it means? Does it means I can purchase 3 feet of metal or 5 feet of metal? I' confused on that part but other than that. I think I am good to go. -Voravit

  7. Evening, I'm looking for these fancy hoses for brake and fuel line and engine dress up. Just don't know where to start. Most of the website that I went to didn't really carried all around hose application. Looking for 1 stop shop site that have the hose for 240z, good price/quality always A+ Thanks. -Voravit
  8. Thanks a lot guys, there are some nice used top brand for sales here in Houston, but I'm scared of buying it used lol! they looked terrible in the picture since I have almost ZERO clue what to watch out for on the used welder. I think I may have to spend up a bit I guess to get some decent machine :ugg:. Thanks -Voravit
  9. Aww man, that too bad. I saw brand name such as Lincoln so I jumped on it w/ that kind of price is hard to turn down, no wonder its so cheap lol. Not trying to be a pain but do you guys mind suggesting couple of machine for me? I don't want to spend more than 400 dollars. I heard Clarke made decent MIG as well. Cheers, -Voravit
  10. Greeting, I'm about to start fabricate metal to replace rust spot on my 240 restoration project. I'm wondering if this welder is good enough for me. http://www.asedeals.com/lincoln_mig_welders.html Model: K2185-1 Handy MIG Spec: Input Power: 115 / 1 / 60 Rated Output: Current: 70A Voltage: 17V Duty Cycle: 20% Input Current at Rated Output: 20A Output Range: 35-88A WFS While Welding: 0-300 ipm Max. OCV: 29V Dimensions H x W x D: 12.8" x 8.8" x 18" (325 x 224 x 457) Net Weight: 46 lbs. (2.9 kg) Most of the work will be on my 240z, replacing rust spot, replacing floor pan, roof. Or even do my own exhaust fab in the future... I don't want something crazy expensive but good enough for small project. Is this one ok? I had been reading a lot already and I have decided to get this one, but before I purchase, its always good to get 2nd opinion. Thanks, -Voravit
  11. I think the front bumper was, "ok" too much like typical Civic front bumper. I felt like its a bit too much, each of it own i guess...
  12. Finally found a car for the project, I bought it for 400 dollars + Towing. This is my first car project ever and I'm not going to lie...I was intimidate by the rust spot on the car but I kept reminding myself that this is what's fun about restoring a classic ride and I am one of the hundreds in this forum that face the same issues Boy...All I can say that cleaning up all junks, pulling, stripping is a @$#$@!!!! My goal to have my car look almost exactly like this! Same color but with CF Hood here and there....such a beautiful car! Here are some pics DAY 1 Strippin' ain't no FUN! Not too bad...a lot more work to do...ARGG!! At the rear window Another rust Driver's door rusticastic! Another picture under the car...floor panel... It seems like 1st or 2nd owner did a ghetto patch up on the the floor panel....I was planning to replace them anyway but its just funny to see how bad the job was done... The roof! The Roof! THE ROOF IS ON FIRE!! uh....Rusts... This is the floor panel from inside..noticed how decent it was from top view....yeah... Passenger side Over all, I was quiet happy on the car. I expect worst but hey, there are a lot of learning curve for me to learn...btw...if anyone know how to take off the door please let me know! lol, one of the door on the passenger side had no door knob? and I can't figured out how to open...I even went inside and try to "Kick" it lol.

  16. Hey guys, Found a guy not far from Houston that willing to sell 260z No engine-Body/rolling chassis w/ no rust for 700 dollars. Is this fair price? I'm planning to make a move on purchasing this thing next week unless you guys think it was a bit too much. Any comment always welcome. Cheers, -Voravit
  17. Updated: I drove to look at the car in Tomball, Texas. After I did walked through, I had decided to hold off on the purchase. The guy wanted 400 dollars for the vehicle, and the engine is running ok but however the body frame had so much rust. The driver floor and the passenger had a huge whole on it, if actually stomp on it I bet my feet would probably go through. I will just going to hold off, and look out for new z that has minor rust instead. Thanks for all the help guys. -Voravit
