  1. Hopefully its nothing serious. Last minute problems are always the worst.
  2. Looks nice. I'm also liking the other two Zs in this pic, especially the flat black one.
  3. If the system is completely drained you have nothing to worry about. The problem arises when the system is filled with water which expands upon freezing and has nowhere to go without breaking something.
  4. I've seen it done on cars by putting a spark plug near the exhaust tip, and wiring it up to a coil with a button to activate it.
  5. I'm not usually a fan of S130s but I really like how yours looks with the two tone hood.
  6. Wow, this car is looking great. I'm loving the subtle changes you're making to the body, and I can't wait to see how the suspension all looks on the car.
  7. Those look great, they match the BMW switches nicely.
  8. Wow, that's some really quality work you're doing. Can't wait to see the end result.
  9. That's where I put the ECU on my CRX, but is there room there on an S30? I haven't taken mine apart quite that far yet to know.
  10. Nice choice for a mounting location. Its out of the way there for sure.
  11. I've got a question for you. I'm building a 383 and I've been reading a lot of conflicting info on rod length. Would you go with a 5.7", 5.85", or 6" rod and why? The car will be a street car that will see a lot of drag racing and probably some autocross and road courses too.
  12. The car is looking great. And seeing the Diamond Racing wheels on here makes me definitely want to get a set for my slicks now.
  13. Nice looking car. I've always been a fan of Subarus. Are you going to go with a front mount or just a bigger top mount?
  14. The local performance shop here swears by the gold stuff. Also, in the descriptions you quoted, it says "for short durations" for the silver. Maybe that has something to do with it?
  15. I'm 6'3" and have plenty of room in my '71 240Z. Definitely better than in my CRX. The only clearance issue that I get with the Z is how close the door panel is to you.
  16. This was done with $0.99 a can Lowes flat black (only two coats were on when the pics were taken, a few more made it look a ton better):
  17. +1 to the under the seat idea. It'll be out of the way and you can run the wires under the carpet.
  18. Any update on how this is working out for you? I'm very seriously considering doing this soon to the 383 that I'm building.
  19. Hey i posted some pics in my thread of the car you should go take a look

  20. Hi all, I'm looking for a new project car and have always loved Z cars. My tentative plan is to find a mostly clean shell and swap an LSx series motor into it. I have some experience doing body work, so I don't mind a little rust, but I want to get this thing (mostly) done before I go back to college at the end of August, so I'm not looking for something that needs a complete restoration. Anyways, I know I should check the rear quarters, rockers, floorboard, frame rails, battery tray, and the firewall, but what else should I look out for?
