  2. R200 VLSD, bushing kit, camber kit, ZXT CV axles, disc brake upgrade, AZC coilovers. i think i may have advantage on his Z on hooking up if i run some sticky tires., my 2 cent. and my z was dynoed at fresno performance when they had a special 5-6 months ago. it was $50 for 3 pulls, stock tune made 321 rwhp, nate could of gotton 15-20 rwhp if he cleaned up the tune, but i didn't want to tune it until some mods to the z are finish.
  3. this is stock R200 welded spider gears, stock suspension, and brakes
  4. cool....you got any rwhp from this cocky fella??? can he drive??? does he have traction??? and what are you trying to do to your Z/ or car, that you want some friendly race with me.
  5. are you wanting to do a solid axle rear suspension using toyota axles.....is that your question??? if so, why not a ford 9", it's stronger than the toyota 8". my 2 cent
  6. on motor alone my z makes 321rwhp and i was wanting to run a 150 wetshot to the wheels...totaling 470rwhp. reason is this young kids is talking alot of smack about his Z with and LS1/NOS wanting to run me for some money(grude match)... at this time my Z is stock and he wanted to run me heads up....my stock ls1 vs. his ls1/nos. so this is pushing me to install a wet kit and give him the race. his zcar was tuned by a shop in fresno and i found out by friend that it made 450rwhp....
  7. anyone on here squeezing 125-150 NOS wetshot on their Z/ stock LS1? any 1/4 mi. times to expect from it?
  8. that Z drag car has a sbc 400 cu. inch motor. owner said, motor alone puts out 525rwhp., and a 125 shot along with it too.
  9. holy crap ANDY.....612 rwhp @18psi...good thing when we raced you didn't have traction. if we ever race again....you'ld have to give me MUCHO space...(at lease 20 cars)....lol
  10. bingo.....nice to put screen names on faces......

  12. my zcar's not up there........wierd...lol
  13. a weld on sump should have -AN fittings on there for feed/ return lines. check it out on summitracing.com
  14. weld a sump on the lowest part of stock tank. use a C5 regulator/filter/return line (all in one), mount it near mustach bar. use a walbro 255gpl pump, but run a cheap fuel filter before the pump though. my 2 cent.....
  15. fellow Z'ers.....i'm helping a friend with his Z32 tranny install too. but, we ran into a little problem last night. L30et/ Z32 tranny is in the Z already and sounding great. we tried shifting the tranny while ideling and all the fudgeing gears just grinds....not even going into gear at all.....i thought it was the slave cylinder pin( too short), i made a longer one for it, but same results. then he bought a new slave cylinder, put it in and same problem. now, i'm thinking it must be the pilot bearing collar!!!! maybe we need a longer one? i've done some research a while back and it seems there are 4-5 different ones (as far as height) correct? could the collar on there now be too short, not pushing the pressure plate far enough to release, or stock clutch MS too small of bore.
  16. Well........spent about $3k 0n brake/ suspension upgrade.... 1. Mm front/ rear disc brake 2. Mm billet 280zxt cv package 3. Azc coil over suspension kit without camber plate...had camber adj already. 4. Courtesy nissan tie rod ends...l/r 5. Courtesy nissan knuckle risers 6. Ebay- lower ball joints...l/r 7. Summitracing red fuelrail covers (ls1) got it all put in now..... Stance, ride, performance is fenominal. Azc coil overs are real nice and numerous ways to adjust ride height....and 15 way adjustable struts are real nice too. Mm billet cv flange is real nice too and all brake kit is very straight forward too install..... This years tax '09....looking to buy a c5 vette di-sc procharger kit for the the z.
  17. 1. better brakes is a neccessity...... 2. better suspension is always better i went with MM front/rear disc brakes and CV shafts (billet stubs). i also went with AZC coilver kit without camber plates., 180lb springs front/ 250lb rears. replaced all bushings too. i haven't taken my Z off the jackstands yet....still waiting on my billet CV stubs to arrive tomorrow. i think this set up is great for my LS1/T56 drivetrain.
