  1. Did you get any of that **** on your skin???? i did and it took almost a week to get rid of it!!!!
  2. if the motor hasnt been run for 2 years and you have it torn down that far i would check all the bearings for clearances (since you dont know the history of the motor) and reassemble everything with lube to prevent any damage on startup due to no oil on anything. i suspect they may have had a hand in my motor failure (not all but some) starting up and engine after 2 years of not running cant be good for it. i spun a bearing on the dyno after a couple runs under literally no boost. If you search google for rb25 FSM you will get lots of hits. Here is a good link for 4 of teh different manuals. they are big so its best to just download them. Make sure you follow all the steps in putting it back together. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/rb/
  3. IM obviously not doing the front fenders
  4. Agreed on the line thing. this is the car that sold me on the Subtle Z fenders.
  5. Yea the subtleZ quarters came out really good. !!!
  6. OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I never knew i'd be so happy to see primer ;>
  7. Didn't get any real good clearance shots. The sidewalls will actually get skinnier and i have 3+inches of clearance on the front and rear of the fender SO i shouldn't have any issues. And yes once its painted i will have to disco the shocks and lower the rearend out of the car to safely get the tires off without dicking up the paint.
  8. Should be in primer by the end of today!!!
  9. Right side just about done. Very tight fit!!! After paint i will more then likely have to disco the shocks and lower the rearend down to get the wheels off, but they will work!!! BTW the gussets i had welded in stiffened up the body ALOT!!!! no more flex!!!
  10. Or the ECU is getting a false boost signal? OR its getting an accurate boost signal? due you have a boost Gage? maybe actuator is sticking?other possibility is clogged fuel filter. I had a similar issue with mine and it turned out to be the wrong fuel filter for the system.
  11. Man i had a big old reply typed out and i lost my connection Anyways. i will start with what i think the cause may be First my understanding of your post is the engine ran fine before you pulled the head to replace the head gasket.? 1. You didnt line up the marks and both cams and crack correctly. This is very easy to do if your not paying attention when putting it back together. There is a bunch of other things that are unlikley but could have happened. like you dropped a valve. This typically dosnt happen turningover the moter. Your task at hand is to start going backwards thru the head removal until you find the problem. Good luck. Before you take the belt off line it up to where you had it and take some pics and post them.
  12. What size cam are you running? I suggest you take all the cam covers off and find what's hitting. If its a large enough cam it wont clear the head withought machining the head.
  13. Agree with above maybe because your timingbelt broke.Dont force it might limit the damage. Let us know how it turns out. easiest way to tell would be to take the oil filler cap off and watch the cams whe you try to turn. If they dont move when you turn the crank thats your problem
  14. just strared at that picture trying to figure out what that green thing was next to the fender. thought it was a painting then i was thinking it was some kind of color test then i was like OH its a pool. Anyways since there dosnt seem to be any other pics of an install anywhere except the apbove link here are pics of my progress. test fitting. i was hoping there would be too much cutting but the upper piece of the 1/4 when in place didnt match up with the lines on teh bottom of the car. (my car problem. had lots of bondo) Marking out what parts were to be cut out. Once the edges were trimmed down it fit much better and all the lines matched up. Fenders all cut out. this made teh body really weak back there but once we welded up the 1/4s to the inner tubs and attached the body to the cage in sever areas everything tightened up. Subtlez 1/4s glued on with panel glue. its the stuff they use to glue corvettes together. Headed to jordan till the 16th. nope to be ready for paint when i get back. more pics then.
  15. It is body panel glue. its the stuff they use to glue corvettes together. Stuff is tough. The screws will be removed and holes filled. There is alot of bodywork left, hope to have it in primer by the end of next week.
  16. More boring pics. I'm past the color I actually really like it. when i push on the back of the car the entire shell flexes. the chassis is not flexing just the shell. and since thats not for for paint and fiberglass I'm going to add more attach point to the body and cage. Here between the windshield frame. and another between the door jam and bar.
  17. Couple more pics from today BTW if you ever use POR15 be sure to use gloves…. Because that **** don’t come off your skin!!! Got both wheel wells welded up. Reinforced the rear section of the rear ¼ and did final fitting of the left side.
  18. Its a single stage base clear coat that was sprayed over a sealer. I Love the color either way Checked the fit of the wheels today. They will fit fine now with the extra 1.5 inches!!! Yea!!!
  19. yea me to. i wanted something more red with some orange in it but got the opposite. i still really like the color. for those of you planning on painting a car, go with colors that are already on car. don't pick from a color swatch in the paint store. i don't think they really represent what the final color will be. that spitfire orange was very close to the shade of red i had before with a little more orange. BUT it came out way more orange then the color sampled showed.
  20. Off to the paint shop pieces all painted and buffed ready to install. ZG-R Tail SubtleZ rear 1/4 install inwk. hope the car matches the parts by next weekend.
  21. ts orange the Iphone doesn't pic up the color very well new storage facility ;>
  22. When your done with yours (scraping undercoating) you can come over and do mine. that crap is a BIATCH!!!!
  23. OOOOHHHHH YEEEAAAAAAAA Said like the band sings it!!!! all parts buffed!!!!
