  1. I did/doing it. Mine is basically a half chassis from the engine firewall back. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/74275-unnatural-aspiration-part-3/
  2. Well as the title says. I'm seriously considering using the Subtle Z rear 1/4 kit on my drag Z. i actually only need less then an inch to clear my rear tires. and on top of the my stock rear 1/4s are trash beyond repair. (too much bondo work) So just like the title says Post any info on install, care, issues with after install and before and after pics as you can come up with. i have searched the web and all i ever come up with is the white Z on photo bucket and the blue one that is advertised on reaction-research. Also MODS if there are any other threads out there with pics in them can we merge them in here. maybe we could also make a YZ thread where all thing YZ are posted. Thanks Stony
  3. For the non military folk we don't get paid overtime ;< And yes the base i'm stationed at is the craziest i have ever see. Non stop prepartation for deployments. We had 3 f-16 SQ now only 2 and we tag team to the desert.
  4. Still sitting just as it sits in the above pic. been working 12+ hours 6 days a week for last 2months. not much time for anything but sleep and eating. Hope to start picking it back up soon
  5. I have one that i could cut that section out of. Can you post a pic of exactly what you need.?
  6. Hey boosted looks like you found this thread. I'm not sure what you mean by Log but the in and out of the block under the intake are capped. cant remember the size i used to cap the air holes. You are using a single throttle body right??? from the Swirl pot to the radiator is 12an. The swirl pot works but vertical is better.
  7. i had SDS on a previous engine. If i still had it and that option became available i would have upgraded in a second. Data logging when tuning is a must in my book!!! you would have to have a wide band in put to make it work right.
  8. I was going to go with a different color something that is more orangish. BUT i like the color it is now and it will make the paint job cheaper if i just stick with the same color (mitsubishi R-38) tore the body down today and delivered them to the painter. the rest of the car goes over when i get back from Alaska around the middle of January. Yea i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
  9. They due fit BUT they have an 3/4 inch offset. Basically they will space the wheel out further.
  10. Other then street racing since i was 18, no.
  11. Why??? I'm active duty USAF. been working on this car for 15 years!!!! Here is where i got the switch panel http://www.centechwire.com/catalog/racing/sp502w.shtml Here is the harness i plan on using. I them because they have options for harnesses without light wireing but the circuits are there so later they can be added. http://www.nwautowire.com/servlet/StoreFront
  12. Well got the z back from welder for the last time!!!! next is paint. door bars done!! Switch panel. Wing Both seats are fully installed along with brackets for the belts!!!! now i have to tear it down for paint. that should be done when i get back from my road trip to Alaska!!!
  13. are you going to be able to get them off now. sounds like you got them on pretty far last try???
  14. The outside diameter is larger on the late 260 and 280 struts. So if your trying to install a 240 tube on a later model strut it wont work. I had the same issues with my struts when i did the AZC old school coil over setup. Had to grind a lot of material off the outside diameter of the strut before they would slide over and i still had to beat them pretty good. I think you can Google the actual outside diameter of the struts the larger is the late model strut.
  15. That mazda red is actually really red. ive seen them around and that was one of teh colors i was thinking of going with.
  16. Yea i agree. but it seems more and more people have this style front end. i just want something not everyone has. And although i really like it it looks exactly the same as another member on this sight ;> When its finished and sitting next to this other car (turbomiester) i dont think you could tell the difference until you heard them Anyways, dropped the car at rpsquared for some final welding. tabs for seat belts finishing door bars final squaring of the rearend and finishing up the last bit of sheetmetal work pic it up in a week or so then strip it down for paint.
  17. Well got the ZCCJDM.com tail today Looks awesome!!! its alot taller then the carbon fiber tail pics make it look. anyways here they are. Here is a video hopfull that will show the finish. if you had a white car you could litterally use this as is. Considering the Gnose now very heavily!!!
  18. Anymorepics of where the radiator is at? go to yellowbullet.com and look thru a thread called. http://www.yellowbul...highlight=stony Lots of awesome stuff in there. Like this if he can do it you can!! http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51574&highlight=stony&page=82
  19. I think the only reason Alaska raceway park isnt visited more is because its 6000 miles away BUT. I have raced there before when there was very low humidity, 65 degres with a very bright sun heating the track and the track itself actually measured 100 feet below sea level!!! they say it would be one of the fastest tracks in the world if it wasnt in alaska ;>
  20. Well got the breather mod done. I cut off the existing piece of the cam cover down to the top of the cover. There is still plenty of material there to tap. Then I used a 7/8 drill bit and tapped it for 3/4 NPT. In the future for anyone else I would highly recommend using -10 line and fittings the -12 stuff was very tight and a PITA to get on and off. Here some pics.
  21. Well some more progress, NOS bottle bolted down in it's new home, added the NOS system plumbing. Now that i have more firewall to mount things the solenoids will be relocated soon. Next task i have been putting off for a while BUT i don't have much left to put it off with and that's the wiring Here is the switch box i ordered. it was pretty cheap but looks very high quality. i will need to add the wiring to it on the switches i want to use. each circuit has its own circuit breaker.
  22. Well i never thought this day would come but I'm actually running out of things to do. today i accomplished mounting the shifter, just need a longer cable now.Trimmed down and mounted center console. Got the cam cover breather mod almost done, had to order some more stuff hope it gets here this weekend... Whats left? Biggest money taker will be body and paint, Finish wiring the car (all parts are here)other then paint this is the biggest job i have left. Bleed brakes Bolt down passenger seat Weld in brackets for the seat harnesses for both driver and passenger Still need to clamp up fuel lines. with my recent shoulder surgery doing anything under the car is a BIATCH!!! Drill holes and bolt down NOS bottle Measure and order driveshaft Order and install hood pins. Will be ordering the ZGR fiberglass wing from ZCCJDM.com. i looks pretty good and should actually be functional on my car. here is a pic. In sure there will be more things that pop up as i go BUT this is all i can think of setting here looking at the car.
  23. I really like the red that is on my car now but I'm looking for an even more red then mine. NOT florescent but just a really bright red almost on the verge of orange.
  24. OK guys I'm looking for ideas for a wing. its for drag racing but i don't like the straight aluminum wings typically used in a drag application. i really like the new ZGR wing ZCCJDM.com will be selling but it is not ready yet and i got to paint in December. So post them up big wings, little wings ect ect. i would also like to see the carbon wing like this one.
