Synlubes

I have some non vented Toyota 4x4 calipers that I had thought about making some spacers to allow me to run these over some vented rotors. My thinking is: These will be used in the rear. The wieght of the calipers (in rear) is not a big concern to me. I will be running some larger rotors and larger lighter calipers up front. I have used these calipers up front and think they are pretty good, so (I`m guessing) they should work well in the rear. I welcome others thoughts on this idea. I should mention that I already have an ajustable pro valve in the car now. And that the car is "street legal" but is used for track events (very little street).

Phyte, I think you would be pleased with this set up. Easy to install, works better than stock. If you can, get some ss lines frt and rear. Do a really good brake system flush. And remember, the type/quality of pad and shoes you use will also come into play.

The Nissan rear kit I got was complete. But I asked for a "complete kit". I`m sure you could get them/it any way you wanted.

How many Z`s do you have Mark ? What`s up with the blue flared Z you just bought ?

Phyte, What you have is a after maket A/C compressor and bracket. Yes, it mounts on the pass side covering the fuel pump with the tension pulley ridding in frt of the engine. That compressor shown is an old York compressor, I would recomend going to a yard and get a stock (factory installed) A/C compressor and bracket.

Others please ring in. . . I was a tech for 13 years specializing in Datsun/Nissan. I never had any problems with these specs. As I said before Don`t Over Torque the Nut ! The torque spec previous is from a Nissan Factory manual. If you can roll the car around before doing the final torque, I would do it. It all just helps seat everything in.

Be careful not to over touque the nut. My Nissan manual says 94 to 123 foot lbs on the rear axle bearing lock nut. My recomendation is, Tighten/torque nut to 100lbs then take a hammer and tap on both the outer stub flange and the inner flange LIGHTLY (to seat everything), then retorque the nut. Then steak the nut on both flats. If you find any shims inside , I put them back in.

hiromino, If you are installing these ajustable bushing in the rear, you will need to buy the tool (sold by MSA) to ajust these bushings. 1st thing is, these tools/wrenches SUCK ! They will not make it though 1 alignment. Buy 2 of these tools/wrenches, you will need them. The fronts can easily be ajusted with ajustable plires or large thumb wrench.
