  1. Hey Justin, Great job, really looks nice! Are those John Washingtons hood vents ?
  2. Sorry for your brother. Glad it wasn`t you this time.
  3. Hey Jon, How much is the Malvern pan selling for?
  4. Jamie, I like the new pan MSA and others are selling. I think it gives a 6 quart fill instead of a 5 quart fill with the stock pan. I have run a fram PH 997A in the past, but use an Amsoil SDF26 on the car. With the SDF 26 Amsoil or the fram PH 997a, I get a 6 quart fill.(stock pan, no oil cooler) Note, the fram does not have anti drain back vavle. Getting any sleep these days?
  5. Hey, An oil cooler and a larger oil filter (or 2) would add 2 quarts or better. Pretty easy to install.
  6. 30 year old rubber at that! I made my own non ajustable camber plates out of some 1/8 plate steel. They gave me 1 degree more negitive camber (than what I could get with the ajustable camber bushings) and 1.5 inch (or so) drop with out changing the suspension geometry. They were pretty simple to make.
  7. I too have had this happen alot recently? ? ?
  8. Well it`s over! Hurricane Isabel came and went. It ended up going about 70 miles west of the "Hampton Roads" area. Thank goodness. What we got here in the Newport News area was just over a cat 1 rating. We lucked out! My house has some minor damage, gutters ripped off, roof damage, 1 tree on my property down (did not fall on anything) and lots of tree limbs down. I was here be my self and thursday (from 10am to after 10pm) was a stressful day. My house shook like crazy! I was conserned that my roof was going to come off. Folks NEVER down play the might of even the smallest of storms! I lost electric from 1:00pm thrusday until today (sat) at about 6:00pm. Next time when one is forecasted to come my way , I`m broading windows up and getting out of town.
  9. Yes, Things are looking better! Just have to wait and see what it all ends up doing. And Chris, I think you are on lower ground than I am. I got a couple extra (large) jack stands, if you need them let me know.
  10. Well on jack stands, I get 13.5 feet above sea level. Just hoping that the storm goes east or west of me, that would make some difference. I`ve never been thru any kind of natural event (of any measure)(and as a property owner) in my 41 years, it`s got me a bit wired.
  11. Well folks, it looks like Isabel is going to come right to me. We could have winds of 100 to 130 mph here by Thrusday. My area is surrounded by water and there saying tides and strom surges at about 12 feet (above sea level). My property is 12 feet above sea level. So I got things packed up and tied down and I`m going to ride it out. Any of you folks care to say some prayers, I would appreciate it. This is the biggest storm here in over 50 years. The last one of this size, created new land and removed some from this area. I will be putting the Z on some jack stands(in the garage)tomarrow. Wish me luck!
  12. Hope you will heal quickly and get back in the swing of things. I would of passed out and blead to death. Whata way to get some time off ! H. A. to ya`ll
  13. auxilary, I`ve always enjoyed viewing your unique, sometimes off, weird, etc. posts. But this one. . . Get some help!
  14. Just after our lastest confict was in play, I received an e-mail from a older man in my neighborhood (a vet from the Korean war). It was a list of French (and other) owned "US" companies. (to boycott) Nissan was on the list! You would be suprised what we DON`T own anymore. To to bad! Before long we will be leasing US soil from others. I did not keep the list.
  15. oldZguy, There not that bad. Just take your time, make notes/diagrams as to where something goes, size or # on each jet etc. Most important - Make sure ALL carbs are set / ajusted the same, ALL with the same jetting. You will need a tool to synchronize the carbs after you go thru them. http://piercemanifolds.com sells a really good book !
  16. So Is The L-Series Stuff Archived Somewhere ?
  17. You might want to install frt and rear ajustable camber bushings. They can be purchased from MSA, V.B. as well as other suppliers. With the ajustable bushings you should be able to get things back into spec or even better. Yes, ck strut housing and control arms for damage. If you have the cash, take the car to a frame shop and have them ck / strighten it.
  18. John, I want to get down to CMP. I know Mark hits CMP also. I would love to hook up and come down ! It will be next year. I have Summit Point and VIR within 4 hours from where I`m at here in VA. Can`t wait for the new track to be finished (The Shenandoah) at Summit Point Motorsports Park next year.
  19. They do look nice ! What application / car are they from ?
  20. John, did you seal all around the radiator support or just the bottom ? And yes I would like to see your pics ! Tim, I must say you have done some very nice work with your mods ! I really like your grill work ! What I will be doing is closing all grill openings and only have the opening for the snorkel to intake air for the radiator. There will be 2 small ducts (that I have now) to bring some air into the pass. compartment. (it get`s hot inside in the summer when doing track events)
  21. I am in the planing stages of making a "snorkel" for my radiator opening. (the radiator will still be mounted in the stock mounting location) I will be doing some frt end (body) mods to close off alot of the stock air openings. Questions: If I have a radiator opening of 15" x 25" (ruff), how big will the frt opening of the "snorkel" need to be ? How does the frt opening (width / height) come into play ? (meaning) How do I figure out how big the opening needs to be ? I`m thinking that the frt opening could be as wide as the 25" opening for the radiator, but don`t know the height of the opening yet. And what about the distance of the opening from the ground ?
  22. Alan, please post the pics for us all to see.
