  1. John, The sway bars and struts will not cause any change. The springs may give you a small amount of - camber, but not enough to cause any problems.
  2. Hang in there, things will level out and get better. Glad to here no one was hurt badly.
  3. If you have the SU carbs, probly best to purchase new choke cables. Or, try to source a set used in good working order. Try the Buy / Sell / Trade here. And Welcome to this site !
  4. The fuel pressure you stated is ok for carbs. The flow seems to be a little low. (maybe try another pump and retest) As far as the leak, there should be brass or alumium washers between the fitting(where the fuel line slides onto) and the carb housing. Ck to see if they are there. Also ck to see if the fuel is leaking out the bottom of the accellerator pump(on side of carb). As far as the other hard line, maybe return line back to tank.(which is a good thing) Hope this helps. And Welcome to this site !
  5. If you have the storeage space, strip it down to the shell. Use what you need. Sell what you don`t need. Srcap the rest.
  6. Thanks All ! The spoiler Will be bolted to the car, I also want to use a bonding agent to fill the gaps(and bond to the body). I`m thinking, when I go to fill in and mold to the body there will be less chance of cracking in the filler. Yes / No ???
  7. I ONLY run my electric fan at speeds BELOW 30 mph. Speeds over this there is enough air flow thru the radiator to cool the car. Even at track events, the fan is only on when leaving padock area and I cut it on entering the pit area. It does not run while on track. Even on the hottest days at the track, this works great.
  8. Very Sharp ! They show well on yellow with your black stripe and bumpers.
  9. Jon, IMO, they are to small to make any inprovement. Good race compound shoes with the drum brakes will give much more braking area than the ZX swap. Again just my opinion.
  10. Jon, If you do more track events than street driving, I would look for something bigger / better than the ZX swap. At least go with the 240SX stuff. IMO
  11. http://www.carbotecheng.com/main.htm Porterfield Racing Brakes (949) 548-4470 / outside CA (800) 537-6842 I`ve used both and like the carbotec shoes the best. Both are good companies to deal with.
  12. I am putting a 3 piece rear spoiler on and want to bond on to the body and fill the gaps. Has anyone used this stuff ? Any other products ? Any recommendations ?
  13. Next time I`m up, can I get some of her DNA ? I`ll try to brew me 1 up. They are hard to find, consider yourself a lucking man !
  14. If you have the storage space, get ALL the hard parts and maybe some soft parts (if in good condition). The 2+2`s have beefier springs. But if they are stock,
  15. Very Nice Mark ! They are going to look great on your car. Waiting for pics with them on the car.
  16. So, this "Rocket Ship" stuff runs in the family ! Pretty and scary .
  17. Triples are not hard to tune IF you understand how the carbs work. When they are tuned correctly, they give very good performance and driveiblity. You can set/ajust them to your engines needs. I ajust my linkage and snyc my webers 2 or 3 times a year.(minor ajustments) I do not have any choke cables installed and never have problems starting the car, even in winter. The best thing about them is the sweet sound they make sucking all that air in!
  18. You could install a N42 head from 75 / 76 year model. The N42 head has square exhaust ports, but you can get an exhaust manifold from a yard and use your intake manifold you have now. The N42 head is a great all around head. Should give you a bit better performance than the N47 head on your car now.
  19. I just found out ! Or, would you perfer that I pretend not to know until you suprise me. Sounds go to me . Hey, just food for thought. I only have about 1.5 inches of front shock travel with stock strut housing and uncut after market springs(Motorsport, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND them)(they are to soft).
  20. Get your AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants here ! Sorry, I couldn`t reisit . . .
  21. It`s been my experience that most aftermarket springs have different diameter(coil thickness) for front and rear springs. The rear springs usually are thicker in coil size, fronts not as thick. Ck them with a set of calipers or a micrometer.
  22. Tim, The front mounts are the same. Front and rear 240 / 260 and front 280, all the same.
