  1. Supercharged is a belt driven charger... turbocharger is an exhaust driven charger. Twin turbo = two turbos. http://www.google.com is a useful too in research

  9. Did you take pics of the setup when you dropped it in the engine bay? If so, post it. There's usually a way to "tweak" things when necessary. Was the turbo hitting the inner fender?
  10. AutoZone sells several diff fuel line thread sealants... I can't remember the name of the one I used, but it's a white paste like RTV. It was about $2/tube.
  11. 1979 280z turbo??? Interesting.... In 79 it was a 280ZX... but the first 280zx TURBO was intro'd in 81... Was he doing a turbo engine swap???? You can get L28 & L28ET pistons from a lot of places. Your local Nissan dealer... http://www.thezstore.com http://www.blackdragonauto.com and most any machine shop.

You can get Ford 370cc injectors for oh... say... $60-$80 for a set of 8 (usually sold in sets of 4) from ebay.   14. The reason they rust so quick is because Datsun didn't use good sealant / metal treatment until the mid 80's. Same for Toyota.

  17. Using the SEARCH helps ( http://forums.hybridz.org/search.php ). There's only about 5 billion threads about building a high hp L28ET We'd all love to type up a huge list of possible mods... but since it's all been typed 5 billion times before, there's really no need.
  18. The reason... my L28ET has 2300 miles in 3 years... only driven on nice dry days, and when it's running right. DOH! That manual rack should fit just like the power rack. I doubt there would be any mounting/hook up differences.
  19. WTF??? Sounds like YOUR turbo has a problem too... like evildky said: stock boost is 5-7psi. Attached is what the 280zx TURBO factory service manual says about the turbocharger. If you do the math of converting mmHG to PSI... you get 6-7psi.
