I only recently came across news of this concept that by now must be around a year old. I have always loved the lines of the original and would definately love to see this new approach happen. Video shows it at 38 sec in...

I have the custom fiberglass door panels with 6.5" speaker provisions that are offered by Rayven14. I had a local stereo shop add the tweeter provision in a similar shape to the larger hole for seperate component speakers. I also have the door pull/handle option and will use the Mitsubishi pocket as shown in other threads. I will end up covering the panel in either a black leather border with alcantera insert, or full coverage in all alcantera.

FricFrac, Your car looks fantstic with the upgrade. These wheels really work well with the s130 as they fill out the wells and have an aggressive stance. The more s130's like Yasin's and yours that I see, the more I am really liking them, (used to be s30 only, but liking what I see). Thumbs up....

^^^ I agree with this suggestion^^^ Pictures of Common Snapper z provided says it all... So fresh and so clean....

Targa Vids - a quick drive through the countryside

260det, What is the small two door silver car that enters view at 6:40 ? -
Thanks for posting this. I can never get enough of rally racing, and the nascar channel refuses to air any of this. I must be in the 2% American bracket that loves rally racing, not enough for speed channel unfortunately.

Wheel Show! Post your pics of you wheels
Nelsonian replied to k3werra's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
"I was dissapointed about the center caps not fitting...and without them the care just doing look finished. I plan on making a set out of plastic or aluminum, with Z emblems. I dont know how long this will take me though...my current project rate is incredibly slow". I for one would love a set of proper caps as well if you come up with a good design and care to make some more. I bet there are others here that would jump on a set if offered, hint, hint.... -
The overall completion and build quality is nothing less than incredible. From the smallest custom bracket on up, it shows that form and function can and do, live hand in hand. If and when I ever relocate back home to NC, I would be more than pleased to use National Speed's expert fabricating skills on another build I'm cooking up in my head. It is refreshing to hear of such great and dedicated effort, work ethics in seeing that this project was completed the right way!! Congrats, and I'm sure there will be miles of smiles coming your way....

CamH, Looking forward to seeing the finished paint job on your car and wheels. Out of curiosity, where did you take your car to have painted?

I am very interested in seeing this swap done, and believe you would be the first to achieve this. I just love the stats and sound of this older version of speed six in the tVR T350.

For easily less than a grand you can get the real deal Recaro seats from a Mitsubishi lancer evo 8 or 9. I have a set of mint 9's, and had a mint set of 8's but sold for the 9 series. I paid $700 for the evo 9's.

240Z Bumpers, Grill, Air Dam, and Turn Signals
Nelsonian replied to Ian240ZT's topic in Parts Wanted
I have a front bumper that is straight and in over all good presentable condition from my 1973. I removed the side rubber pieces as I was going to fill in the holes, and have it rechromed, but recently acquired an early bumper to use instead. The two bumperette's still have their rubber strips however. There is some rust on the inside channel and a little dot here or there on the exterior, but the mounting brackets and bolts are in good order. I also have the metal valence that fits between the bumper and the body. I am a bit of a ways from your two locations, but willing to work out shipping. The only pics I have are a little old and show it with water beads still on it, just after washing it. -
Here, I'll get this going in the right direction for you. I have purchased almost every item offered with the exception of the dove tails, and every single word of your third line in is spot on. The parts are accurately described, high quality, priced well and shipped in a timely manner. I look forward to continuing business with you in the future, as this is precisely the type of transactions I prefer to be a part of. As mentioned in regards to custom cnc/work let's see what could be made in say a brushed aluminum cap for the top of the riser above the tool box's just aft of the two seats, as there are currently no options other than finding a good used plastic stock piece.

I'm digging the 944 seat swap, and in typical fashon scouring through CL, came across these two sets on san diego craigslist, just thought I would link these here. Miata Seats Leather - $250 PostingID: 1683184169 And these Porsche 911 951 944 Seats - $399, link to ebay auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-911-944-944S-951-Seats_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c53fd9f20QQitemZ190387691296QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I highly suggest Vildinimotorsports.com in Mission Viejo as well, and glad to see it recovered....

That gps tracking sounds very promising and I am definately going to look into that.

This has made up my mind to go with Lojack whenever/if ever, I get my project done. Not the end all answer to thieves, but a good tool in recovery. Still hoping for a positive outcome....

Progress on my insane VQ35HR 240Z project
Nelsonian replied to markrolston@mac.com's topic in Nissan V6 Forum
I like some of it, but (hard to tell from that angle) something looks funky with the lug hole provisions, as in unbalanced, perhaps just the angle? I am also more partial to the Rota, Panasport approach to the spokes curving them in the center of each spoke unlike the completely round tube style of say Konig rewinds. Just my two cents worth... -
I am both sad to hear of this and sickened by the ridiculous amounts of scumbag, wrong doo'ers that espescially seem to flock to southern Cali. Hope the worthless, pos, gets caught and due punishment, as well as a safe return of your machine....

I'm keeping my eyes wide open down here in San Diego. I'm always scouring through craigslist, etc... Any more pics from the side?

Here is a pic of my friend posing with my sweetheart, "Precious". She's such a loving and affectionate dog.

I had a set of the next gen models,(want to say from 86' at a local jy), but later sold them to a guy locally with an Opel wagon. I now have a set of Recaro Lancer evo 9's, but am wondering if I should have kept these and went through with reupholstering them in perforated black. Cygnusx1, your car's interior was my inspiration. I personally like the earlier style (horizontal stitching) that you have more so than the vertical on my old set. Most of the ones that come up in the local jy's around here are shot, but every now and then you get lucky as I did with my set. I've somewhat curbed my junkyard hunting tendencies as of lately.

I like the Simmons look on there, but dig the Rota's more aggresive appearance more. I am a big fan of 17" wheels on an s30 for tire selections and aesthetics fwiw....

This has my attention and interest as well. Ultimately, I would love to see something along the level of say the 370z led quality. Looking forward to see what you come up with...
