  1. I have very good 280z stub axles with newer arp wheel studs. The warped hardware only hasless than 4000 miles. Edit: let me try that again. The wheel studs have less than 4k on them and they are not warped.....
  2. That's great to hear as I will be seeing them in San Diego soon, however not the same line up unfortunately. I have not seen them since 93' or so when I last lived in NC. How was Fishbone? I missed them the last time they played hear a few monthes back....
  3. redneck1545, I am one step behind you and right on your heels with my rebuild project. Here is how I'm approaching it. I have so far removed all the undercoating and also electrical rubber coated clips in the engine bay. I brought my car to an excellent welder fabricator and am having it structurally strengthened, and all rust issues dealt with, (floors, rails rear patch panel, battery area, etc... After it is finished there, it will be blasted by a second generation blaster who has been blasting since 79', wiped with pre paint degreaser, then finally epoxy coated. My car will sit for awhile after the epoxy coat while I save for the body mods and paint. Bye the way I know what you mean about 1/4" bondo, damn po did one ffddd up job of repairing a previous accident on the rear passenger side. I know I did not exactly answer you questions, but just sharing my plans.
  4. I have a new, never installed, Autopower scca roll bar that I will not be using. It is an older version of what MSA now carries, therefore does not have the harness bar. PM me if you would be interested in this...
  5. I am very curious as to any new updates on this unique project.....
  6. Yes indeed, we need many videos!!!
  7. I too was wondering if issue number 4 would make it at all. I have not received it yet, but have faith and lots of anticipation for it's arrival. I am very happy with the quality and depth of this mag, and renewed my subscription for another year a few months back, ...
  8. Here ya go,I just pm'd you also.....
  9. Juan240z, I will pm you later today after work, sorry for the delay......
  10. If aplyedmind's fans don't work out for you, I have two just sitting in storage. One is a 9" puller Spal type VA07-AP12/C-31A, and the other is a no name 10" puller I got from Ron's Performance in Hawaii years ago. These were both used for a year on my first gen talon awd when I upgraded to a big front mount intercooler, been in storage since 2002'.
  11. I have the same sided inlet/outlet Treadstone "kit" put together by member 240Hoke. Austin left everything in the front of the car(intercooler, some piping)flat black, and everthing inside the engine bay a brushed appearence. It has a Tial blowoff valve, and the piping fits up to a 60mm throtle body. One of the intercooler pipes runs below the front vertical radiator support/structure, but causes no issues as mentioned by him. I imagine the short length of piping has got to have some advantages over running behind the radiator. I have not installed or ran it myself as my car is completely stripped and receiving lots of rust repair. There was/is a video I believe of his former setup in action, iirc. Included are some pictures that Austin took of his car's previous setup which is relevant to mine, as I am using his turbo(rebuilt), intercooler kit, and downpipe.
  12. Man this brings back good old memories of the bmx days. I originally had a diamond back that I mowed lawns or whatever to earn money for. The DB got stolen from my yard and I thought my life was over. After working to raise more bike funds, I purchased a Hutch pro racer and raced that a few times. It had CW bars, MCS neck, Araya rims, Shimano platform pedals, Uni seat, Petes precesion chain wheel, etc.... I will have to search for some pics of those bikes. My life revolved around them as well as skateboards back in the day.
  13. I have an extra one that I have never installed or ran, but seems to shift smoothly through gears, and had 137,000 on the odometer. You are more than welcome to inspect it as I am local in SD also. PM if this would be of interest to you.
  14. I completely agree with you on this. If it is financially posible, by all means go this route.
  15. Different vehicle but same clutch company. I had an ACT 6puck on my modified 91' Eagle Talon awd turbo and it was a bit much for stop and go traffic, but held power very nice. I changed to a street disc and life was better. I will use them again on my l28et project when the time comes.
  16. I'm in the same boat as I removed the inside baffle, blasted, then properly cleaned. Now need to apply that aluminum devcon, thanks for the tip Tony D....
  17. Looks to me, to be very much inspired by a Ken Mary Skyline...
  18. I don't have a rear series 1 bumper to check on, just my stock 73' that will get a fresh cleaning/chroming in the future.
  19. I'm liking this and eager to find out pricing....
  20. The brackets that are on the inside of the 73' bumpers are located differently from a series one bumper, which extends them away from the body as you have discovered. The over all side length of the earlier series 1 bumper is shorter and pulls in closer to the body. I have one of each and have put them side by side for a comparison.
  21. Mike, Here is a link to the installation as provided on Modern Motorsports site. It is located on the Billet Z31 CV/Companion Flange Adaptors page under (great customer install article) close to the top of the page, with very helpfull pics provided.(http://www.modern-motorsports.com/xtrainfo/z31-cv-conversion.pdf . I cant wait to get to this stage with my build in due time.
  22. I bought two used Auto Meter gauges from him, which I have yet to use but have no fears that they will work as expected. I only had a few minutes to talk with him as he was off to deliver parts to another hybrid member, but he was cordial and delivered the parts locally to me.
  23. I found a little more info and pics on this from Jalopnic.com. http://jalopnik.com/5242354/600-hp-v8+powered-volvo-p1800-re+imagined-by-koenigsegg-engineer
  24. Apparently Matias Voxx (sp?), who was instrumental in the Koenigsegg ccx is a volvo fan and behind this new idea. Sure hope it happens.
