  1. thats an odd dyno, ive never seen that low of torque numbers for an sr20 with only 350whp, when we were at that level we had about 340 ft. tq to the wheels and 360whp. They should have used the same exact spec turbos to make a more figurative dyno sheet for both and would have been a better comparison rather than a ballbearing gt30/35 and a standard t3/t4. Either both should be on the ballbearing turbo or both running a same spec t3/t4.
  2. all parts for the sr20 are readily available most all the time and definitely not too expensive for what you get to start out with. Im a little bias so i say SR20DET
  3. nope we are running the electromotive tec 2 system. For some reason the dynojet dyno had a problem reading the rpm signal through our 8.5mm MSD wires which are brand new. HAHA will do mike
  4. for the dry sump setup, i would ask chelle who is doin the bmw v12 velo rosa, she would be more experienced in that region. And yes the 2 piece sump setup is a structural part of the engine, im thinking that you can just remove and block off the oil pan and pickup part from the front and then run a dry sump setup.
  5. it all depends on the tires you got. We are running Advan A048 tires and it grabs pretty damn hard, i can get them to spin a little if i slam 4th hard and this is only on a street tune at around 380-400whp right now.
  6. hey tony, sorry but we havent done the sr20 swap into any S130 chassis so i wouldnt be able to tell you much other than instead of going to a rear sump setup which will be a hell of a lot of work you might as well go with a dry sump setup. Anything else you need to know, feel free to ask me.
  7. make sure your differential mount isnt broken so that the diff isnt flopping up and down against the sway bar.

unless you are going to be giving the car some hard launches on slicks or drag radials there is really no point to go with the r200 and CV axles.
  9. Yea hes really done for. Feel very sorry for your service writer letting him do all that work to his Z and having it blown up because someone thought that new cams wouldnt matter on a PCM.
  10. Its cool dude dont worry about it. Get it on the road asap, another SR car roaming the streets...
  11. dave, sorry kinda off topic but you should jump on this, http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=2642&cat=8
  12. were running the 4.375 gearing in an r180 with a nismo 2way lsd. Ive driven a r32 gtr with a hks kai bb and that was insanely laggy to me, no full spool till about 6200rpm but all the way to 9500rpm. Our car doesnt feel that laggy really and still has some decent low end to get around town. If you do get stuck in 3rd in a quick race, just clutch kick the sucker and off you go.
  13. heres one place sparks: http://www.hopupracing.com/defigauges.html
  14. yea, we were supposed to dyno about a month or more ago. When we got to the dyno we couldnt get the dynojet to read the RPM so there was no point to run with no RPM readings. Since that day we have been to busy to go back, but we are hoping to hit the dyno very soon since we are going to have a magazine shot that wants real numbers and driving tests. Right now we are just running on a conservative street tune and the car is awesome.
  15. i bought mine from http://www.wheelchoice.com the 16x9 -13 and 16x9.5 -19 with machined lip on them costed about $2200 plus the wheel locks that i bought from watanabe as well. They will usually take about 3 months to get since they are shipped on order from japan. http://www.takumiproject.com is another place to check as well since they stock a huge variety of wheels.
  16. if you look at the pictures where he mounted the fuse box you will see
  17. hahah, they have their good days and bad days just like Argentina
  18. ulises, you ready for the mexico vs. argentina game on saturday?
  19. yea like i said, have him open the rear cover, if he has nothing to hide then he should open it no problem
  20. Argentina To The Finals!!!!!!!!!!
  21. if you are running the standard mechanical sender then you will get the mechanical speedometer from autometer and wont need a new sending unit
  22. oh and also, i have 4 s13 VLSD differentials at $150 obo each that you can come pick up.
  23. the 240sx's with LSDs in the US came with VLSD if any type of LSD at all. If the car you are pulling from is an SE model and has full abs option as well, im pretty sure it will have a vlsd.
  24. yes you need the r200 mustache bar from a 280z. As far as LSD goes you can either do the Nismo 2way, or the Kaaz 2way which has more clutch discs than the Nismo unit.
