  1. I want to know one thing, where are the engine photos !!!
  2. I agreee that is just plain crazy to think you could get it shipped as well for that kind of money. I agree with just sourcing parts the price is very good, and shipping really from AU isnt that bad for a car. Concidering other costs. Would be worth it if your interested, as far as the Hakosuka, if you could get one for that kind of money, like as said it woudl be a rust bucket, or you got lucky that someone didnt know what they had, even so I dont think anyone would be that silly. Most Hakosukas in decent condition will run you in the 10K plus range
  3. That was on there once already, it is a very nice and really clean Z, but he picked the wrong time of year to sell it. Ive seen other clean ones there, seems the going rate is about 6-8 k.
  4. I do like the wheels but they dont fill the wheel wells up nicely. What Im worried about most is fixing those taililghts UGH
  5. Thanks, I still like I said dont know about the hood, I think it would probably look better with a stock styel hood, to make it more smoothe and the lines more flowing. I havent gotten the car yet, picking it up next week. So when I do get it Ill take shots all around of the car. I think the tail lights are the worst part of the car. Looks like they belong on a 50's cadillac lol.
  6. I think it looks great it all goes together well. Good choice of color and contrast. I like it a lot
  7. Find yourself an older 4Runner with the 22R turbo, transplant, and make yourself one very nice lil sleeper. That car rocks:icon54:
  8. I would say go turbo and use what your pocket allows, you could always go SR after you have graduated, and get that great job. I look at it this way, think of what you want, how you want it to perform and go from there. Either way you will end up spending money. Its all about what you want. I love the L6 turbo, but thats my cup of tea. Then again, I could really see a nice supercharged or turbo V8 there as well.
  9. Well I do agree, I dont care for the tail lights at all. The hood Im still up on, I havent seen it in person to really comment on it. Could be nice couldnt be nice. I do think a stock hood would probably look better though. Me I do kinda of like the lovers but that is another thing that Im well not sure on, looks decent in photos but in real life the thought might be different. I had another Z with rear louver on it, and well I took it off right there where I bought the car. I DEFINETLY agree that the wheels though looking nice, do NOT fill the wheel wells properly and that is the biggest thing about the car that puts me off. Less the tail lights though, I really, really do not like them. Any suggestions on how without having to do to much to the rear could I make and or work with what I have there to make it look a bit more appealing? Maybe flush mount lights instead? Thanks for any opinions and ideas. Here is the best thing though, she isnt rusted and the cost, was well lets just say in the 2k range
  10. WOW shes huge, Im thinking she might give Corzette a run for his money in the biceps, god thats nasty looking.
  11. Just thought I would share in the joy:icon44: of my new ride which will be coming home to me next week. Unfortunately though it looks like it could take out most anything, it is still all stock under that exterior. ALA all show no go currently but thats not whats planned for this car Ill probably go with a mild turbo build. Just to make her a lil more go along with the show, shes got the ZG front facia, hood scoop, looks to be MSA steel flares and a bre rear spoiler. Custom rear taillight panel, still not so sure about that, rear and side louvers as well. Nice set of Enkie wheels 16x7. Interior includes a crack free dash, older Corvette leather seats and clean carpet and interior for the most and a still working stock radio lol. Well enough of the talk here are the photos, tell me what you guys think? She doesnt look to bad to me
  12. That strut tower bar looks nice as well. I think that the install is very clean as well.
  13. How about going to the Turbo/Supercharger forum, and here because I feel a bit sorry. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=99620
  14. The best part was that lil kid on the bike, saying do it again man, come on, come on, do it again, one more time. Hybrid kid in the making.
  15. Ive have always wanted a lil sleeper car, as you both put it a pocket rocket and I keep coming back to getting one of those Chevy Sprint turbos. I think that would be the greatest car to kick arse with. No one would ever be suspecting of it and what lurks underneath.
  16. That is an incredibly clean car, I mean where did you find it at a museum? Good, no, GREAT find!
  17. I know what you mean, I found one online at a junkyard search through the internet. Called them to verify it was a CLSD. Once verified, I called and they said to me well hmm shipping to your location and the price of the differentail, will put you at about 165.00 I screamed SOLLLLLLLLLLD!! You got a very good deal, I know that several times I was thinking of selling it on ebay.
  18. That would be my first guess if everything underneath is intact that the rack itself is loose. It happens on all sorts of vehicles.
  19. I was going to say the same thing about it, motor wise seems good but looks wise, I would think they had a fight with a ford focus and a cobalt, and said well we will do a bit of each.
  20. I want to know where that valve cover came from, Ive never seen one till now. Anyone know? Is it a Euro cover or something or ?
  21. Dont you just love that sound. Its like music to my ears.
  22. Just shows you that you never know when something is going to happen such as that. RIP and god speed, I hope his family is well and has all the support they need in this time of despair.
  23. On the east coast that Z would bring about 2k.
