  1. That is one gorgeous car, I would be almost afraid to take it to the track it looks to damn good to go out and maybe get hurt. Everything is just, well as it should be, beautiful.
  2. As cozy said, I would not trust the stock gauge either. It isnt really that trustworthy, second though, and Im remembering this from a post on Zcar or here a long while ago. I believe the member was Lifergaurd or something to that effect, that actually had taken the lifters apart, throughly cleaned them, replaced the old springs with new, and the put them back together. Im sure if you do a search on here or zcar it should come up. I do know that you can take them apart, and clean them, its hard to find the proper spring for the lifter but it is possible. I did have a P90A that I was going to use for a 240Z ages ago and did do the cleaning. Depending on the PO, they can become quite filthy. Tearing them down though is easy as is cleaning and when you put them togother just make sure you put a bit of oil in them. I never got to try the whole thing out as I sold the motor, but its worth a try before removing the whole head.
  3. I like that very nice, very very nice INDEED!!
  4. I would think so, if you can tow it, go for it!
  5. Did you happen to look at they're site they have several other very nice vehicles in tow there.
  6. For the parts alone, that would be worth 500.00. I was waiting to see some photos of the cars.
  7. OOFFF, I used to like the Statos but that is as hideous as the wheels on the Muiria. I do like the Muiria though, I think if you put a better set of wheels on it, it would be a very nice looking car, and as someone said, a nice idea for a kit.
  8. I would think that Mustang is pretty fast its just lack of a good supspension and tires, and an over zealous driver with little to no experience behind the wheel. He was obviously over driving the course.
  9. I would think that post of yours would deserve a "sticky" status, as to me it was a great read and helped me a lot informing me one what to and what not to do.
  10. I think Jersey said it best the "nut" behind the wheel was definetly loose
  11. I would have thought an LS1Z would have been faster then that. The times didnt seem to impressive for the power to the ground or am I missing something. Now those LS1 and 2 RX7s were hauling ass. Whats up with that?
  12. Wow, that car is moving, and anyone notice how loud the blow off was, sounded like a .22 cal. rifle. Sounds very nice indeed.
  13. What Z are you working on? 1st gen or Zx or ? You cant fit if you want though it isnt needed a 3 inch down pipe on either. It just takes time and patience.
  14. http://fresno.craigslist.org/car/205942980.html Doesnt look to bad and comes with a few things, might be of interest to someone on the right coast.
  15. I think this would about be the best grocery getter, parts hauler you could possibly own. It is a Hybrid Volvo with a Chevy V-8. Not a bad price either at 3k. Heres the link if you care to look. http://www.markdepot.com/volvo/
  16. I love the qoute " This is so fast even a dead man will scream!" I think that is the joy of feeling the power that car was putting to the ground.
  17. I say its a great idea and you are very correct when you say you can get a good reliable and driveable 300 hp from that L28. I cant wait to see this running and moving. Its usually they only thing that keeps me from ever buying the RX-7. Not that I dont like the car or the looks, just the cost and reliability issues with maintaining one.
  18. But I was just browsing today and saw what looks to be a good canidate for a hybrid Z. From the pics it looks very clean and only 600 dolllars, whats to complain about. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/201520524.html That is for anyone up north
  19. 280zforce had said what I was going to say wow, 6 year old post!! Those wheels do look nice, considering how hard it is to find nice wheels for our cars.
  20. I have to say on a personal note that I like the silver Z much better, nice ride indeed.
  21. I think that in the Euro market, the change did come in 89 for the Z32. though I could not be sure of this.
  22. If you do a search or go to the Vendors forum you will find many that have what your looking for. Please support our Z guys, they do us a lot of justice in the quality parts they bring. Some that come to mind straight away are Ross at Modern Motorsports Dave at Arizona Zcar There are many more that commit to all sorts of services for our cars. Just doing a search on google will bring many more. Good luck in what you are doing. Enjoy the site, it is the best techinical site there is with no misinformation and more then enough in the archives to keep you reading for ages.
