  1. I think the set up you have there is incredible looking, quite nice indeed. Should make your wallet short in the tire department no doubt.
  2. I think that is just great the work you guys did in a weekend, way to pull together.
  3. I dont think its him, I mean, who would be that stupid, to disappear for over a year and a half and then suddenly reply to an old post. It just doesnt make any sense at all. Im sure that one of the moderators or the owner of the site could easily see where or who is posting using his name to at least maybe verify who it really is.
  4. LMAO something about a jolt of electricity that makes people quite compliant lol.
  5. I found some articles on timing by one Mazda Miata member that put a lot into perspective, including how to do the math as well, it makes for a pretty interesting read. http://www.miata.net/garage/KnowYourCar/S10_Timing.html
  6. Get yourself one of those nice fiberglass bumpers. That would be the nice finishing touch now that you got rid of that big old ugly thing:D
  7. I didnt see the $133, all I noticed from it was this, Shipping costs: US $68.00 - UPS Ground (within United States ) . So that I thought was a good deal.
  8. I like the front spoiler and the hood doesnt look bad but that wing is hideous.
  9. Thumper can you answer this though, as it is part of bastaads original question, and I was wondering the same thing. Any small amout of change in timing either retarded or advanced, is immediately noticed. What is the cause of that as well? I know on my car, it affects all sorts, idle, boost, off boost speed, everything, LOL I couldnt figure out why my car was running so bad at the track and I lost a second off my times due to the fact that I the timing was inadvertantly retarded to much. Sorry not trying to hijack the post just trying to find out how come timing affects these cars so much.
  10. I hear you guys, if I wasnt looking to get me a dime Id really concider buying it, still a good deal.
  11. Well we all know that bastaad has no problems at all with fuel delivery:P The T3 does max out at 15 and does run a bit hot, but with added fuel and concidering he has the larger injectors. I dont see a problem. My turbo died @ 180k, and it was running 15#'s for about a year and a half before it started to spit oil.
  12. Good deal, as I said you will be quite satisfied, if there is anything wrong he will make it right and like I said before his service to his customer is above and beyond most on ebay. You cannot beat the service this guy gives.
  13. The movie was great!!, lots of good information and Shins skyline is incredible, the test drive at Nurburgring was just awesome. I like when he was telling the guy in the Porsche to move over lol. That was class.
  14. That car OMG!! It just looks, sounds and runs incredibly well. Ive been really concidering a 510 with that type of swap in it. I think it would be just as fast. That is one incredibly good looking running car. Definetly two thumbs up!! I was at you site and see that you do in fact have a 510 with the SR swap. I was trying to see photos of that but you dont have any posted there or they arent available? Could you post some of them please:D
  15. Not a bad deal at all concidering what these sell for http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISMO-R200-LSD-2-Way-S14-Silvia-R32-R33-Skyline_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33731QQitemZ7995322666
  16. Yes I do recall that thread, but this is to the site and has some vids of the head they had on the car running and its incredible how well it runs and sounds not to mention the 9k rpm redline!! Just sweet old school design from a brave awesome company.
  17. I do know this though you are completely right in that any change in timing at all really does show a dramatic difference in how the car responds to throttle and off boost driving. It is really incredible the difference proper timing makes with the L series motor. I know I had what I thought was a boos problem and what it turned out to be was timing even though the car idled well, its response was horrible. I could not believe how bad it ran, and how it would richen up like a pig!. I found my timing was off 6 degrees retarded. Talk about being a miserable running vehicle. On mine the timing is set to the stock 24 btdc and it is an 82 turbo. Im running 13 psi on a T3/T4 with 36# injectors and it runs well there. Maybe somone can chime in on how any adjustments might help. The only thing that I know for sure is advancing the timing slightly for a littel better bottom end off boost response does help but it isnt to well for top end and high boost.
  18. Found this at Nico.com, posted by another individual, but its so cool, this 510 with the DOHC OS Giken head, just screasm, when they are going down the road, and at the track its hard to believe its a 4 cylinder! Sounds incredible. Its a real good read and two good vids are linked to the page. Please enjoy!! http://www.datrats.com.au/OS%20GIKEN%20ENGINES.htm
  19. Im downloading it now myself, what I wouldnt do for a t1 connection but DSL will have to do.
  20. Well now its up to 33k and still hasnt met the reserve, it is a very nice and very well done car, with a lot of shiny and well I mean you can see attention to detail was paid to ever aspect and it looks great, but Ive seen more of my share of cars that I would like that arent that expensive and look equally well. Great car, loads of work but man that price really gets to you.
  21. HAHAHAHA, Im sorry but JohnC that was just so funny when I read it.
  22. I have to disagree, I had a completly stock 71, with everything in the car, including a/c and a half a tank of gas and it weighed in at 2250. I can easily see it hitting 2100 lbs. With that said my 83 turbo with a half a tank weighs in at 2720
  23. Seems to be looking good to me, V-8 and a turbo, the best of both worlds
  24. What he is referring to is Grass Roots Motorsports. If you do a google on it you will find there site as well.
