The best that I have heard is HKS SSQV blow off valves and they can be had on ebay for about 1-150 all the time.

Well there goes a cheap alternative to the NGK iridiums, maybe they have a iridium type with the crush gasket. Thanks for the reply Tony

I just happened to be doing a freinds Gran Prix, changing out the old plugs and wires for new and well low and behold they are Iridium plugs. The real kicker of it all is that those plugs are made my NGK!! I was wondering though, they are the same size, thread and all, but, they are a tapered end and not a gasket style end. Would these work with the Datsun L6? or would it have to be a gasket style plug? Found it interesting to say the least that Delco plugs were made by NGK, and the cost is only 5.99 compared to 12 plus.

I agreee, when I was talking to the insurance people about another Z I had in the past they were talking like 800 to 1000, I told the lady that she was crazy and that we would see when the Insurance adjuster comes out. Well so happens to be the adjuster used to own a 1600, still owns a 2000, and was currently restoring a Austin BNZ3000, so I lucked out, and he payed for everything. Just in case like all others have said, dont settle, get information and reciepts and also show what it will cost to replace the car. Irregaurdless they HAVE TO REPLACE your loss. Totally the fault of the other person so fight on!!

Im with you Soileau, you could buy the car, use the g-nose and sell off the rest of the parts and still be in good. Id like to have the G-nose myself

That is one thing a lot of people forget as with lowering a vehicle, you also shorten the travel of your strut, and you will need much stiffer springs to compensate for this or you will "bottom out" as well. Its why the best choice when lowering is usually a coil over set up.

I have recommended several people to this site just for the technical information and learn something about all cars and motors. A lot that have gotten back to me said just from searching they have found a wealth of information that they didnt even know before, not to mention that they found the simple answer to the question that they were looking for as well.

Now I will have to agree with that Vinhs convertible is a gorgeous creation. I love that car.

I welded the whole thing together just so I could get it back on the road, and I will eventually cut and replace as needed to finish it up which shouldnt be to hard now that its all in place. I will probably onlyl use two couplings. one down off from the dp and another at that bottom side of the crossmember. I just wish I could weld better but without trying you never know what you can do or how good or bad you can do it. So its just practice makes perfect.

I totally agree, that we are getting closer to the red and or the old german ways of doing things, now they can come and seize your property against you will and you have to take it like it or not. Is the ignitor properly grounded? When mounting my new coil I had broken it off from the coil bracket and it does need a good ground or it will not function. Just something else to check.

Yeah it is a great sound isnt it. LOL I remember one night I did that next to a Hyundai shark aka tiburon. The boy in the passenger side goes oh **** did you hear that. Got to love the boost.

I know this sounds silly but I did this once while cleaning all connections and redoing the grounds and such, the connection that goes to the distributor, via the trail that the injector harness takes, looked connected, yet it wasnt, ie no spark. Make sure it is connected. Just a guess and something that happened to me hopefully it is that simple. Good luck!
