  1. No. I've been living out of a hotel for the last 3 weeks. I signed my lease today, and I move in tomorrow. Z is still on stands back in KS though..... It will be at least another 2 weeks before I can steal away and go back to finish it.
  2. DROOOOOOL. I love the Weld RT-S wheels. Probably my favorite drag wheel, ever. I will totally be copying you if I ever 5 lug my car.
  3. Not 100% related but here goes. When i took the trans out this weekend, I found that the roll pin captivated fitting on the Slave Cylinder was the problem. Now the fitting itself, which is a conversion to a male -3 fitting, but rather the side thats inside the slave. The round hole had become oval, and was allowing the fitting to shift, and fluid pass. I was able to get it warrantied from NAPA, and got it all back together. Didn't get around to driving it, because the CV boots (old ones) took a crap (new ones ordered).
  4. I still swear up and down that my car is accident free. I have no idea why my measurements were so much different, but they were! The car aligned great, and didn't differ from side to side at all. It drives straight as an arrow. One of life's little mysteries!
  5. Turns out my slave cylinder was the culprit. It took a crap on a buddy while he was taking it to get it tinted. No bueno.
  6. Any updates man? Especially regarding the brakes??
  7. had the same issue the other night. Drove like 40 miles, got into town, and then my clutch wouldn't disengage. I was thinking of adding a heat shield as my AN line runs kinda close to the header.
  8. Whats the real-world weight savings vs a stock hood?
  9. Its either a lifter or your imagination. My guess is a lifter. Its (somewhat) common for these to go bad, especially if you've had the heads off and didn't take the proper care to make sure no dirt got in it. At least you can easily take the heads off while its in the car
  10. Good god. For that kind of money, I could live with my welded diff FOREVER.
  11. Got to go to a cruise in about an hour away today. Had the chance to do some racing as well. The only one that was even close was my buddy's C5 Z06 procharged corvette (540 rwhp). We raced a 30-140, and I got him by a couple cars. It definitely moves out, and pulls like a freight train to the limiter. Hopefully I can harass my buddy enough to get him to edit and upload the video soon.
  12. Pretty common on the 5.3 / 6.0 trucks for the back bolts to rust off. I've done this many a time. Works like a charm. I usually heat up the head around the bolt after I weld it to help release the bolt. I'm like 10/10 for this task. Workss great!
  13. Needs more tire Gonna be keeping an eye on this.
  14. Hmm. I don't think they're any worse than draglites. Question is, are they worth a Take THAT forum lol. I wonder what they weigh?
  15. Hopefully get some more tomorrow night. Going to a big cruise-in, I'm sure we'll do some pulls
  16. Yeah, The only reason I was wanting to go larger, is because of the look. If Im going to buy wheels, I'd prefer that they'll fill out the wheel well. Also, WHY ARE THERE NO GOOD LOOKING DRAG WHEELS IN A 4 LUG? Its annoying. I would LOVE to put a set of Weld RT-S's on there, they are SEXY! Basically it looks like I'm limited to a stock size, or a draglite (ew). If i could find some old fabled 4 lug prostars I'd be happy. I just did some searching.... Weld makes a baller wheel, but only in honda sizes (4x100)
  17. Its a stock ls1 camaro Hurst lower unit, and some no-name short shifter handle, with a leather Hurst ball on it. UMI makes a good handle if i remember right. About the only upgrade from this would be an MGW. I'll just leave it alone for now though. Its more about the one doing the shifting rather than the shifter right now haha.
  18. We can go from there.... haha I think that would be simple with a tire.
  19. Bah thats slow shifting. I just didn't wanna miss a gear for the vid lol And it has the welded diff in it. A one legger would be a HUGE pain in the ass. It makes nutty torque.
  20. This was a 20 punch to about 135. Closed roads of course.
  21. I have a stock clamshell I'll sell you. PM me
  22. Looking for a pair of rear wheels (maybe fronts too) for my car that I can put some slicks on for dragstrip use. Just wondering what everyone is using, and what size / offset?
