  1. Just by looking, I can't tell you what they are. IIRC, AC fittings (at least US AC fittings) are by #. Ex: #2, #4, #6. I personally would just measure the dimensions, and get the thread pitch (if you have a thread pitch gauge). If not, you should be able to get one at your local hardware store, or a good parts store. a GOOD parts store would be able to look up the fitting, vehicle specific. But it might not "be in the computer" . I get mad when I go to a parts store and try to find things, when there are morons behind the counter /rant/
  2. I would just use a teflon lined SS hose, and AN or JIC fittings. The JIC fittings are the same pitch, but they're made for hydraulic applications, and dont come in the pretty anodized colors. They are generally steel also.
  3. The shop does not have a dyno. Not that it really matters at this point. I didn't have all the parts / time to finish the car before I needed to drop it off to get these headers built, so its not able to move under its own power. Hopefully I'll be able to give it some attention here in about a month when I'll be back in KS for school.
  4. LSx ftw! These engines are a godsend. They are incredibly powerful, efficient, and an absolute joy to work on. I will be LSx for evar.
  5. ... this isn't a supra ...Though the first couple passes sounds like it is LOL "whats the same about a 300whp supra and a 1000whp supra? They both run in the 11's"
  6. haha I thought you guys were working waaaaay too hard. I just used standard all along
  7. I'd be interested in seeing this setup..... But more importantly, the finished product.
  8. DO NOT USE PLASTI-DIP. lol that was a bad, time consuming decision. here's the dash as of now: as stated, leave a v in the foam to cover with the plastic filler. I ended up using some bondo on mine (see build thread in gen 3 v8) it'll probably crack, but we'll see!
  9. Quoted for truth. I'm anxious to drive mine, Period.
  10. Definitely unique. I'd like to see a photo-chop of dual dual tips though. Vette-esque. Not discounting your system, I think it looks great!
  11. Starter was installed when I dropped it off. I cant imagine that he removed it. I'm sure its just the angle
  12. UPDATE: I've been in touch with the builder lately, and he was able to complete the driver's side today, and hopefully the passenger's side tomorrow. Here are the pictures he sent me today: "only the steering shaft must be removed to install" enjoy!
  13. 1. You need an f-body clamshell engine mount. I have one that I'd let go of for $50 to your door. (sounds like alot, but new ones are pricey and used are hard to find) 2. What size / make / AR turbo are you going with? PM me if you're interested in that engine mount, I can get it in the mail tomorrow.
  14. Can someone point me where to buy a M10x1.50 bolt that has a button head (allen drive) on it, and is long enough to hold the alternator on? I've seen a couple people swap out the stock bolts for these, but can't seem to find the posts now. I'm doing this to increase clearance between the bolt heads and the serpentine belt. For those who are interested, its LS1 F-body accessories. Alternator, water pump, idler, tensioner, and crank. Thanks!
  15. 8500 for 100 horsepower? I think there might be more economical options.
  16. I haven't forgotten about you Danno. I'll get some pictures of that x member before i put it back in today.
  17. thanks for the input. I have an Autokraft oil pan, so the sump is larger than a stock f body pan, so that should allow for some more room with a stock pan. I don't know for sure, but I'll be sure to voice all concerns when I speak with the builder
  18. I don't see there being a clearance issue from the C5 mounts I'm looking at. I'll get it across to the builder the above mentioned items, and pick his brain about anything else i can think of while i'm there. I'd also like to take this time to thank Slow78Z (Kris) as he's the one who offered up his truck, trailer, and entire day to deliver my car. As 1tuffz stated, our ETA is Monday, April 25, around noon. I'll keep everyone updated as more develops
  19. its just a 55.5" 6 rib belt. any parts guy with a brain should be able to either cross a napa number over, or find you one in house.
  20. Yeah, no problem. I'll take pictures and make a post about it, since its out of the car.
