  1. I meant I paid a turbo shop $525. The kit I bought on ebay was $33.
  2. I rebuilt my own turbo and it lasted one day. So I think I'll buy new next time. The rebuild cost $525. It'd be worth a shot. Maybe it'll stay together?
  3. Here is an example for you. At my local track, we have a class called domestic. Rules can be viewed at Atlantamotorspeedway.com friday drags...rules. These are street legal V8s with hard tires and no power adders. The quickest car I've seen in the class runs a 7.20 et (1/8 mile) A nearly stock L28ET with boltons and upgraded turbo will do that all day. That will beat any LS chevy car, Ive seen it! Glad you made the right decision.
  4. MSA sells an upgrade front pad for the late S130. I haven't used them I've just seen them on the site. EBC also has some.
  5. A machine shop will have a tool to measure cylinder wall thickness. That's the only way to tell you how big your bore can go. My machine shop tells me you need a consistant 0.090" wall thickness.
  6. Top looks good. I don't see anything on the bottom one. To may need two different lash pads with your dual pattern cam.
  7. You have a usable rocker length of 2.4". Dead center of the contact pad is 1.7" from the pivot point leaving 0.7". It makes triangle then you can calculate the lengths from there.
  8. I also got some rockers that were cut unevenly. I made a video of me measuring them with a dial indicator. I'm on my phone right now but if you look in the L6 forum under ' loud tapping noise even at idle' it's posted there.
  9. It's better than mine was. I didn't get one of those sheets with mine. They think the L6 rocker ratio is 1.5, it's only 1.4. You can get it closer to 1.5 with thicker lash pads where the lobe peak is a little closer to the adjuster.
  10. Of the 12 I had resurfaced only 2 were noticeably bad. I'm going to have these corrected before assembly. Thanks to this thread I know to check this. I'm glad a found this. Thanks
  11. here are the rockers that I just checked
  12. here's a video of the cam lobe measured with a dial indicator.
  13. Also make sure your rockers were surfaced properly. If not you could have an extremely noisy and short lived valvetrain. I'm posting a video of my results now.
  14. My 272 cam was supposed to be .450". The lobe height: was 1.51", width was 1.24". That equaled to .405 lift.
  15. Could you measure your lobe width and height for me? I ordered this same grind and got a stock cam in return. Just wondering if all of them were ground the same.
  16. Ok cool. I can look at it tomorrow. Or you can send a message to websales@diyautotune.com also. I had better luck turning the trim pots clockwise though. Matt would ask if you're getting rpm in the stim first.
  17. Send your msq to a compressed zip folder then you can upload it here.
  18. I'm using 3/8 supply and the stock return line. I think it's 1/4".
  19. Do you already have the engine? If not I'd say find a 4.3 and turbo that. Then your t56 will bolt up without an adapter plate. I think you mean an lsd from a z31 turbo.
  20. If it turns over by hand the cylinders shouldn't be rusty.
  21. Oreilly sold me a rotor that didn't fit my 83 turbo dizzy. I ordered one from MSA. Could you use a large flat washer on the bolt?
