  1. I have corrected the camber problem, and lowered the Pressure to 28 psi, and the tire sits perfectly. It also hooks GOOD now also. I really do need to get it back to the dyno, as 12 PSI feels like 17 used to. I need to get a good tune for above 20 psi. I will not have any 80 mph burn outs any more hopefully .
  2. "NICE JOB SHERLOCK" VERY DISRESPECTFULL, no matter what the circumstance. I was always under the impression that direct name calling with what some would call HARSH name calling is UN-ACCEPTABLE. Am I missing something here, or can we tell people "nice job sherlock" without any remorse? I am all about following the rules as long as everyone follows them. My post was stating FACTUAL information, about things tha ACTUALLY happened. Where is the harm? Where is the tech?
  3. Yes jon read it again, if you dont have any TECH to post, why are you posting?
  4. You now know how Rebello makes their 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4 motors. I confronted dave at rebello on the phone with this situration a couple years ago, and he about died when He knew that I knew what they did to get that big of displacement on 89 and 90mm bores.
  5. I installed a 1uz in my 95 4runner last year, and love it. Would never turn back.
  6. 12-1 + is how I build all of my NA L series engines. 11.6 is faily mild.
  7. With double true arc rings, it would not have happened. Tony, what did cause the .0035" interference fit to walk?
  8. I didnt see ya there, well dont really know what you look like, but didnt meet ya regardless. There was a pretty good turn out last night though.
  9. I need to adjust camber, install counsil etc. I should get there by 7 ish, if all goes well. I need to also install a new belt, as I shreded a v belt last night, and also check alignment on the pulleys.
  10. The police usually try to get people to leave at about 10, so there is plenty of time.
  11. Actually my recent experience is that it is more like 2-3 weeks, when race season is off.
  12. Let me say it again. I BOUGHT 800.00 dollar tires for 260.00, they are good tires, they work good, and they were cheap and brand new, why go further for now? Sure I can run a 12" wheel, not a prob, maybe in the future. Actually that picture is deciving, I will take another pic to show that it is all the way on the ground, and I have my camber plates pushed all the way in. It is a 2.5 deg neg camber, and will be set at 1 neg for the street.
  13. I GURANTEE that a 315 on a 10 will hook better than a 275 on a 10, plain and simple, thats what I do, is simple/cheap/effective. When you pay 260.00 for a set of 800.00 R1's, you use them. But like all the other naysayers on this car/project, Thanks. I have ran 245 on 7" rims, sure, its not optimum, but it works. Tell me what saftey hazard they are in, because with my experience, have never had a saftey issue with my tire sizes VS Rim width. I appreciate all feedback, negative or positive.
  14. The car was also intended for a single cam, no turbos, not a z32 trans, etc. It works, and I like it, and it functions.
  15. With the torque/HP this puts out, It will never have the traction problem fixed no matter what, with only 2wd. The tires are almost flush with the side of the wheel, there not to wide for them.
  16. I can take some 6MP pics, I had the camara on three just so they wont take forever to load. Any angles in particular?
  17. Yes redrilled rear, and Z31 fronts. I use a .5" spacer in the rear, but it only needs .25" but I want to have it close to the flare for looks. I got on it once today, and at 6500 in second gear it broke loose. I think it looks better than it used to.
  18. Here is just a short walk around vid of the car. A couple people wanted to see different angles of the car so, I figured a vid was a good way to do so.
  19. Here are some pics of the 17x9 front with 245/45/17 nitto drag radials, and also pics of the 17x10 with 315/35/17 BF Goodrich G Force R1 slicks. The ZG flares are not finished mounted and welted yet, as the car is getting stripped for paint here in a week or so. There has been some talk that your standard ZG flares like MSA sells will NOT fit a 315 tire. This is false, as I have room to spare on both the inner and outer portion of the wheel well, with this setup. I THINK I can fit a 335 series tire. The R1's are actually pretty wide for their size as well. It has 13" rotors up front, and 11.65" rotors in the rear with 4 piston Wilwood calipers all the way around. 1.375" bore in the rear, and 1.875"/1.75" in the front.
  20. I rework ALL of my pistons to the lightest as possible. You can go a MINIMUM of .187" thin in the top dome on a NA motor, and usually I shoot for .200" thick. All piston manufactures are different, so that will vary on how much you can take out of the dome to maintain that thickness. ALSO do NOT make ANY dish below the quench pad of the MN head, as you WILL defeat all purpose of that head. Make a reverse mirror image of the combustion champer for max quench.
  21. I will post pics tomorrow of the wheels mounted on the car with the ZG flares and a rear veiw.
  22. A 2mm head gasket will defeat ALL purpose of a high quench head. PLEASE search before posting, if your not sure on what your posting about.
