I also need to post pics of my 70 tank which I know is different from a 72-73 tank. I also just picked up a NOS 240 tank and will get some pics of it. I think it is for a 72-73. Dave to bad I didn't think to have you snap a few pics of your 75-76 tank when it was out.

Bump. I am going to post a picture of my 70 tank. David, what exactly is the middle tank you posted pics of. I think you are saying it is a 280z tank and Tony D is saying it is a 260z? We need to clear this up. =P

I have to check the the heater core, vents and misc stuff behind the dash. Easier to change all the heat related items that way. Also don't want to get any over spray on a crackfree dash The rest of the harness will remain in place.....well besides the engine bay.

Thanks guys. I spent some more time this weekend, cleaning up the garage and more parts coming off the car. Besides the dog legs and arches being in bad shape...the car is pretty clean. I have to sell some of the early Z parts off this car so I can buy some other goodies. Big turbo is the plan...but I will break out the school books when it comes time to buy one As far as the MS, Dave will be on the phone a lot. I plan on wiring up the car myself which wasn't so bad on the LS1 car. I know I have lots to learn about MS. Also the next time Derek is selling mounting kits for the EDIS....I need to brag one. Pics are coming later this week. Hopefully I can have the dash pulled before the end of the month...goal is to not crack this one!!

I am sure when I get my car retuned and dyno'd, I will put down 400rwhp. Last year the car put down 388rwhp and since then I have done the ud pulley and added a ported F.A.S.T intake and TB. Joe fails to mention that I thought of the color but he was able to paint his car first. That is my boy so it is all good. I am thinking of leaving the car silver or maybe a blue.

I need to get Braaps head out of the box and take some pics! Thanks! My plans for my turbo car will be more of a street car. I will purchase a L6 ready z32 trans that was in 240hoke's 240z. Coil overs, AZC brakes, and clsd are in the works too. I plan on picking up the parts as I need them or deals pop up here on HBZ. This month's goal: 1. Strip the 70 car to point it is ready for paint shop. 2. Assemble turbo motor and get ready for mock up in engine bay. 3. Go over list and pick up all items missing for MS install. short list but will take up some of my time.

Thanks Dave! Nelsonian, I do love that middle black Z. I remember a video of it somewhere. I have so many fav Z cars....gotta think on this one.

Thans for the input. Trust me that I am not just throwing money away. One reason why this motor build is going slow is because I am doing more reading than spending money. Also the L30 build is basically to be a little different. Cost isn't really an issue here......there is no rush in having this motor done. Flat, thanks man. Dave, this is how I stay busy. I wish I could just do one thing at a time!

This my first real car. 1984 Maxima rwd. It had only 49k miles on it when I got it and I just sold it 4 months ago with 98k miles. It was my daily from 2001-2003: Then 2003-2004.....AE92 1989 Corolla GTS. That is a friend of mine on the left with a AE86 1985 Corolla GTS. Notice the AFRO... 2004-2006 1998 528i with all 2002 530 parts. Bought this car with 85k miles and sold with 122k miles. Loved this car....only sold it to get a head start on student loans and Z money! I guess in 5 more yrs, I can update this back in the day thread

Small update, I will be sending out my 75 intake and turbo exhaust to Braap for porting. This will not be done til Spring when the weather warms up some. In the meantime I have to start stripping the 70 car. I have been saying that for months because it was in the back of my head to sell it. Now, we are just going to move forward with the build. Hopefully Derek will make more EDIS mounting hardware and that will be my next purchase. Promise more pics coming over the winter.....to those who car....lol!

Please take pics of your before and after $400 floor replacement job. What work do you have to do before this guy will do it for $400? Do you have to supply the floors and rails? Is he using the stock seating mounts?
