  1. lower the car about 1in and then do it. I mean really? It is just paint, if you dont like it paint over it.
  2. toss it, 20lbs is a good chunk of weight. and you could always do with the cheaper route of this http://www.harborfre...-fan-96144.html instead of the $260 one posted above.
  3. ct26 is going on my firend's jag or his next project if he sells it. I am going to be using the 15g
  4. Very successful weekend at the junkyard; I was able to pick up what looks to be a recently rebuilt 94 b230, 15g turbo, alternator ford T5 transmission, wiring harness with ECU and EZK, and a 960 Throttle body. All that is left is the bell housing and LH 2.4 flywheel, and my swap is complete. Total spent on these items is about $400; which is still cheaper than a twin cam KA without a tranny. boom. Here are some pictures. And yeah we went from having zero turbos to having 5; (R to L) 15g, 2 garret t3s, CT26, and a 13g. also did some math to figure out if it is still cheaper to buy all of the wire myself, rather than to buy an ez-wiring kit, it is $80 vs $150. So that will definitely be happening soon.
  5. ultra-flat deep forest green and satin black

  6. Hey whats up man if you don't mind me asking what color is your car I love your the set up

  7. 1. find a different size linkage (mine worked fine and i have a 72 2. dont need it since we live in southern california, never ran with em and never had an issue 3. no vac advance, set it a bit higher than normal. i ran 15-18deg advance on a e12-80 ran like a champ 4. custom make a heat shield if you really want one, i never had one and it never was an issue. 5. i never ran a fuel return, but if you want one you can do a search there is a diagram out there that describes the best way to have it with a FPR 6. dont need a coolant line, it is worthless in southern california.
  8. thanks, I was pretty stoked to see it make it on the last round! The car was put on jackstands a couple of days ago and today I finally got around to pulling the engine and chassis wiring harness out. Now it is time to order all of the switches and turn that wiring diagram I made into a reality.
  9. yoshifab, you have to give him the driveshafts you want to be modified though.
  10. $100 for a custom driveshaft over here.
  11. Open Header night at "Hot Summer Nights" in Fallbrook, These were taken after I drove back to the house. very loud and very fun.
  12. what I gots... what I need. -NA B230 block and a manual transmission bellhousing. -Ford T-5 transmission -Wiring harness - ECU and EZK -Valve Springs -Tensioner -Fuel pump Then it is going to just be a matter of making it all work.
  13. I was already throwing the idea around, but having josh there to answer all of my questions and have all of the parts i need to do convert the 8v to 16v really pushed it even farther. and when you think about it, why not? with the set-up that I am going to run (even with my baby turbo) I will be making at least 200 wheel HP. While that may not seem like alot, it is going to cost less than a KA24de engine, all of the parts can be found in the junkyard, and for the cost of an ecu chip you can easily achieve 300+hp.
  14. not my photo, but I can't wait any longer. i'll get some photos of what I have after i get out of the office.
  15. Didn't get as many shots in as I would have liked, but here are a couple that work. This weekend we are either going to be taking action shots of our cars, or a shots with my car without an engine.
  16. I have done the rotary thing. While it can be reliable, I want it to be honda reliable. And since I have finally figured out the last bit of my problems, well there is still one more to go but that is a trial and error, i'll post pictures and my reasoning before friday. Think KA24de price, SR20det power, and honda reliability.
  17. Still expensive and I remember hearing it was a bit too large for our engine bay. Don't worry just have one last thing to figure out and then I'll commit to a photo
  18. s2k engine woud be amazing, but they are expensive and it has already been done.
  19. I have to work out a couple more of the specifics on the engine swap before I start posting about it, but as far as i can tell this will be a first into a 240z; it has been talked about but never put into action. I live in northern San Diego county in Fallbrook (10min south of Temecula)
  20. got something awesome planned, and it is not a KA/SR. For now though, here is a shot of it on a road.
  21. my vote to buy the d90 body and lens separately. if you want to learn about composition and working with the environment get a 35mm f1.8 ($200 brand new) it will give you a field of view equivalent of a 50mm, which is near what we see. if you want to do action, or really really need that zoom get a 24mm-85mm or.... get an 18-200 VR for a great all around.
