  1. ok I got it pwm current limit % is set to 30 pwm time threshold is 1.2 ms plugs are ngk bpr7es-11 wires are .... accell 8mm super radio suppression
  2. give me 5 min or so let me fire up the laptop and look, what should it be set at by the way? (be right back)
  3. I'm 99% sure its 3.0 but I could not find a PWM setting in megatune?
  4. I sit in a chair at a coffee shop dressed like Elvis answering forum questions about what I do for work. Its harder than it sounds. It took me all day to find this thread, now I can go home until tomorrow.
  5. yeah right! you agree though, I do have to have the resistors?
  6. thanks, google turbo datsun and see what the 1st thing is you get? I am famous....lol
  7. the car has run great with single coil and multiple dwell settings. I switched to MSD with a fixed dwell of 50% duty cycle. well I've been having a stumble at anything above 12-13 lbs of boost. It pulls hard to 6+k rpm until I try 14lbs or higher boost. Sometimes it will pull 14+ but most of the time it will not. I've been reading the megamanual and I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I have low imp. RC 750cc injectors and have no PWM set, and have no resistors in line with each injector. from what I've read I need a 5-8ohm 20-25watt resistor in line with each injector? right? I've run my car for about 2 years like this, until MSD about a month ago. could this be where my stumble is coming from? I think yes.
  8. that pretty cool. your almost right on the money.
  9. I was looking for throttle bodies.......no really

  11. I would for sure reinstall the firmware on the MS. After many resets this needs to be done. It might also fix your problem? It has for me in the past. But not for me now, not yet at least.
  12. I'll be a monkeys uncle! I'm having the same problem NOW! I was tuning one night with no problems, next morning I drop it in 4th to make my exit and there it was. A big hesitation. the next day I had the laptop hooked up and had 41 resets during my 1 hr drive. I put 3 noise filters in, one on the 12 batt, another on the switched 12, and the other on the switched 12 at the dizzy with no change. Then my alt. light came on and off for a day or so. I went to the junk yard and got an alt from a 240sx 90amp. No more alt light, and haven't had any resets but there is still a hesitation from time to time. Checked the fuel pump while driving, that's not it. At the batt it reads 13.5(ish) when running, but MS jumps around 11-15 volts. I changed some grounds, moved wires away from interference. ???? I'm stuck. sometimes it will pull hard, and some times it will get into a bog. I also changed coils. unhooked my MSD and went back to just a coil. The only thing I see really is that megatune shows the volts jumping around, while at the batt it holds steady. Its been running great for months, then this all of the sudden. The resets change the kps in my spark and ve tables. I've put a switch into MS so I don't have to pull it out to put the jumper pin in to reflash it. I'm stuck like chuck.
  13. I'm at the same point. I think I'm going with the Garrett GT35R duel ball bearing with the .63 hot side. Check out this link. http://www.cheapturbo.com/
  14. both sides of what? value?
  15. those are great numbers at that boost. I'm getting a gt35r myself. any video of the run?
  16. my car had the same thing happen. Left me stranded once. If I would of thought to reload the firmware I could of drove the car home. any way my car would cut out under boost, I never did notice what the voltage was doing though. The car would even cut out when I opened and closed the hood. Well what fixed the car was me cleaning the plug, and wires going to my dizzy. I think my cas signal was getting interrupted and then some how screwing up the firmware in megasquirt. I would start the car and wiggle the wires coming out of the dizzy, then follow them to your relay board or megsquirt. I did the same thing, changed power and neg. wires. I hope this fixes your problem.
  17. on my first hy35 from an 06 dodge running 20-25lbs boost and had the oil pump set a bit higher than stock oil psi the turbo started smoking after about a year, so rebuilt it lowered the oil psi back to stock put it back in. Installed turbo timer, set at 3min at every shutdown holset started smoking again after about 4 months. Bought hy35 #2 running 25lbs boost, stock oil psi, 3min cool down at shutdown, turbo started smoking again after about 3-4 months! Rebuilt this one and now only run 10lbs boost. The chart above shows a waste gate of 36lbs? With my boost controller open ALL the way the most I could get from this turbo was 26lbs boost. I think I've been maxing this baby out. I never really noticed that the controller was maxed out. I was just driving and setting it to 25, which was just a %$#@ hair from maxed. Morel of the story Holset hy35 good for 10-17lbs, but your pushing it if you go higher. Now I DRIVE my car, this is my daily driver. I love this car, I love to drive it, I love the thumbs up I get down the road, I love the power, and I use the power ALLOT! I'm going to buy a Garrett GT35R next week $1300 brand new ball bearing. My first hy was $500, the 2nd was $400. I'm done with them.
  18. does it look completely ridicules? YES. would people stare as you drove down the road? HELL YES. would my wife drive in it with me? OH NO. would I own that? SURE. I think the panels look cool! gotta weigh a ton:confused:
  19. Oh heeeeeellllllllllllllllllllll yeah:icon14:
  20. before I went turbo (I think?) the car started running bad one day. Took the valve cover off to find the cam had broken.
  21. for some reason the timing cover getting the chrome paint didn't keep my attention like this item getting some chrome paint:icon14:
