  5. as in the MSnS Extra Ignition Manual. You need to change your dwell from the 3 settings (cranking, running, minimum)when using a single coil, to a fixed dwell at 50% when using the MSD 6A I did this today and the car revs, and pulls hard at 20lbs of boost. this is single coil http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_Ignition_Hardware_Manual.htm#singlecoil this is msns1 v3.0 with MSD http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_Ignition_Hardware_Manual.htm#msdout it looks like you must change your dwell settings!
  6. also just hooked up the MSD tach adaptor pn 8920 and my 78 280z tach works!! this is the link to hooking up that: http://www.msdpowersports.com/pdf/frm22049_pn8920.pdf still need to mount and drive:icon30:
  7. ok, I set the dwell to fixed 50% and started the car. Let me mount everything then take it for a drive to be sure.
  8. right now I followed this. With my 3 dwell settings http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_Ignition_Hardware_Manual.htm#singlecoil With a MSD 6a I need to set the dwell to a fixed 50% right? like this: http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_Ignition_Hardware_Manual.htm#msdout I thought I saw an msd wire gide but I searched and can't find it. so this was all I could find.
  9. I had to port my holset to just about the size of the puc to get rid of boost creep. But she holds steady now. Of couse I made a small video of it:icon31:
  10. I was deleting files on the phone so I could keep recording:p
  11. this is funny, we take his 72 tripple webber 240z around the block but it has some bad gas, or starts sucking rust from the tank? I pulled out my phone and took 4 videos of use having to much fun being stuck. we call his wife and she comes to get us with his truck.
  12. stand up jet ski's, green tea, flipping off the camera twice, and big turbos. Thats a good day!
  13. use an 83 280zx turbo head gasket. and you should be good.
  14. this is a very old video but at 2:20 you see my crushed B.O.V. at the time it worked very well! I just kept crushing the top little by little until it no longer leaked at boost. Also let it vent, the worst that will happen is the car will go rich for a split second because the MAF reads the air going in, tells the ECU how much fuel to give. When you vent, the ecu still thinks that air is there, so the fuel stays the same. Which will be a bit rich. Thats how I understand it any how.
  15. just looked at you homepage, wow!! what a motor you have there! And your car looks great!
  16. I'm in Waxahachie and chris here is in Ft. worth no RB's though
  17. goes to a "T" fitting at the oil pressure sending unit. I would think you could use brake line or something?
