  1. Well, i think im gonna get a non world class, wait till i blow it, then send it too g-force, and have them build it. I plan on a 302 sbc... A 305 flywheel, thats a smart idea, i thought about spending hundreds to get an aluminum of the same wieght, i could just use a 305 flywheel, good idea. Some pics would be great, or any websites you used, thanks man..
  2. So, im saving some very useful threads, but im affraid when i use them about 13 monthes from now, they will be gone, or deleted because they are so old. Is there anyway i can save them? can i save it by clicking "file"- "save as" Will that make it avalible offline? will it be updated if someone posts on the thread after i save it? thanks guys
  3. So, i think ive changed my mind from the t-56 to the t-5. So Does anyone have some good info for my archive, or any good t5 installation links? Yes, ive searched
  4. This is my buddy, he races up at kennedale 5.60s in the 1/8, video below for proof He just whooped an entire forum worth of guys, and this is one big forum, DFWSTANGS.net, This is his street car, he supposedly has only lost twice in it. He just got done adding a fogger nozel to each exhaust, with a big spark plug right after it,(for flames) he told me to watch, to see if they were firing at the same time, it was awesome (altho, that not the way i woulda done it). Aside from the primer *** end, the car is really clean, thats an awesome cowl hood. THe black one... http://www.dfwss.org/krista/WINNING%20PASS.wmv look how much this squats.. http://ntsr.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5031
  5. I sure hope not, i just went to there website yesterday... if they did that would suck!
  6. I dont understand how the cylinder wall thinkness can be thicker than a std block? wouldnt that mean more metal between the cylinders? wouldnt that mean the block would be longer, which i think is impossible, cause nothing would line up then....
  7. I dont want to hijack this thread, and i waited till it was about over before i asked this... What is the point of an aftermarket block? what advantages do you get. I dont know what deck height is. When it comes to the bores, this is what i have come to believe. A 305 could not be bored out to 4.000 because the metal in between the cylinders is too good, or pretty weak. Are aftermarket blocks just better quality metal between the cylinders allowing a bigger bore, like past .060 would be safe?
  8. Yea, your right, about that... And the driveshaft would have to be shortend Now that im thinkin about it tho, i may just use a t5, till i blow it up, then send it to g-force, and have them make it bullet proof. yeah, 6th gear is nice, but it would cost 100 extra pounds, and about $600 more than the t5, then another $600 more for the bellhousing. I can live with just a 5speed, and that will work with my autometers anyways... Thanks for the help tho
  9. If the title was confusing, sorry. I am loving the t-56, i mean theres no reason not to get one, aside from the crazy prices. So, i have a spare super t-10 laying around, that i think i may use to get the car running, i would be able to drive it alot faster, because it would cut down alot on the initial cost of the swap. So, my question is mainly about t-56's If i buy a 10.5inch aluminum flywheel, and a clutch kit for my 4speed, and over time buy a t56, and a wier bellhousing, will all the parts from the 4speed work on the 6speed? are the splines the same? I know i would have to pay to get the driveshaft cut again, and maybe a differnt corssmember setup. Aside from that, i wanna see what other parts i would need aside from the t56, and a wier bellhousing and misc pieces that come in the wier kit. Thanks guys
  10. Well, thats absolutly insane. I would totally just rather buy an electric speedo, and sell the mechanical one. Thanks bro, i had no idea it would be that expensive.
  11. I found 10 Ultra lite autometer gauges for $275, that includes speedo, and tach, a pretty good deal i think. Now that i think about it, a t56 would require an electric speedo? is that right? Is there anyway to make it where i can run a mechanical guage? thanks guys.
  12. baaahahahaha, what was he thinking... lol
  13. Thanks man. ive never driving an aluminum flywheel car, i hear its quiet different. I will sell what i can come up with, cause i cant afford to spend quiet that much on the clutch, and flywheel. Your site is VERY helpful, and has been bookmarked to help me when start the build. I found that price list too. Wow. Thanks man.
  14. Thanks for that scary figure, but thats not at all what i was askint How much did you spend on the parts between the motor, and the tranny.. what i mean is, the bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, all that, EVERYTHINg that fits between the tranny, and motor.. Thanks man.
  15. Good question. IMO its based off the sbc, and wouldnt have all the tech. in it without years of the sbc, but it sure wont take some double humps....
  16. Im plannin on taking the same route that you did, as far as gen I block, and t56, Would you mind tellin how much you spent on everything between the tranny, and motor, bellhousing, and all.. thanks man, im still trying to add it all up. How much is that flywheel (weight)
