  1. Cool story! I guess I have no excuses Davy
  2. Nah, my cousin has that tatoo'd to his chest, although it does look cool. Not a very simple design, eh? Davy
  3. I'll still take Scottie's IRS 10's anyday!! Davy
  4. http://www.gearzone.net Try these guys for a rebuild kit or some info. They seem on the level and I'm about to buy some upgrades for my GM WC T5 from them. They even take Paypal Davy
  5. Yep, just what Guy said: he did already did a search. Heh, I had a long winded "do a search" reply typed out when I reread his post. I quickly deleted my original post. Plus, he has done a swap before, so he is serious about everything he says. When guys bring stuff like this to the table, we need to cut them some slack Davy
  6. I'm due for another 2 year renewal. I love getting a Z specific magazine in the mail!! It really makes it worthwhile to see some of our members cars in there, and you certainly have not disappointed us! Rick Markus and Rick Johnson are two HybridZ members with very decent writeups and pics from recent past. Davy
  7. Welcome to the forum. The LT1 is a fine engine and they make some great performance parts for them. Do not rule them out. In fact, that is the motor I'm looking at for turbocharging purposes. BTW, you'll never hear "Your car is nice & stock, so leave it alone" here! Davy
  8. You know I'm joking, right? Just being annoying, that's all Davy PS--I'm good at it.
  9. Dave, you should be expecting a bit more. Had I had you work on my car, I would have thrown a few sheckles your way, not to mention a nice dinner, wine, BBQ, that kind of thing. I have friends like Mike D that do machine work for me and I try to be fair to him even though he does not charge me diddly sometimes. I can't bring myself to take advantage of anyone I know. Auxilary is my friend too and always helps me with computer stuff. We do things together and I try to help him out once in a while: I have the Suburban Davy
  10. Not like the microfiber drying towels. They are thick, almost rubbery synthetic chamois. I like them! Davy
  11. Probably not completely assembled. They were the same when he put them in the car as I remember. Davy
  12. You guys.... The puns are killing me... Davy
  13. Since it is Christmas season, you have the perfect excuse to give the gift that keeps on giving to yourself I say do it! Davy
  14. The 5 lug is for wheel preference mostly. You get a much bigger selection in 5 lug, but if you can find the same wheel in 4 lug, go for that and save the money. What brand of wheel will you be using? From the post, I surmise that you'll be going wide, yes? Davy
  15. Yep, he is THE man and I know you'll have a good experience with him Davy
  16. The Absorber is a great tool and I love mine--I have two: one for me and one for the wife. Yes, it leaves behind a very small contingent of droplets, but you'd have that with a regular chamois as well, not mention a bad smell after a few days (on the chamois). If you have water spots that look white on the paint and they won't come off with regular washing, try vinegar--it has a small amount of acetic acid that can dissolve those stubborn spots--works for window water spots as well. You can try waxing the paint after it is clayed, but it needs to be done after your paint has cured. It has cured, yes? Keep at it and don't blame the absorber. It does need to be rinsed out before using it. Davy
  17. Tired of yellow already? The classic Datsun racing paint theme is trick IMO. Might look great on your car. I saw a 510 with the classic paint, only it was in black & white--looked wikked. Davy
  18. John, I have information on the S30 Scarab cars offered by the company, but not the ZX cars. I never knew that happened, but it is conceivable it might have happened but it never made it out mainstream. I thought Scarab went out of business due to smog concerns of the day and a shrinking market. Hmm. Davy
  19. How about the one undergoing the V8 conversion??? Don't even say I'm not doing anything with my ride...got mine in bodyshop 'paridise' for the time being. Hey, at least it clears a spot in the driveway Davy
  20. Might be 104.5, but I'm not sure since I listen to CDs and talk radio *gasp* most of the time. I'll try to find it for you tomorrow. Auxilary may know for sure since he listens to that stuff. Davy
  21. Crunchola. Not good. Your 16" wheel is NLA. Sooooooo, a 16" Volk Racing, or CCW wheel might be the ticket and you can tell the offender's insurance company to come up with the money for a 16" performance wheel like that. Hey, you are severly limited to wheels that fit, right? Make it happen. Davy

Pete, I looked into it further and it seems like I don't have a virus. I even went to the Symantec site and downloaded all the present virus definitions in case my online update was knocked out or something. System scan: negative. I'm clean. Also, I have never sent you an email that I'm aware of, so your address is not in my address book. Also, my Norton scans my outgoing email for potential viruses. Davy
  23. Ditto to what bastaad just said. I do the same thing into second gear usually, but not first gear, and only when downshifting. I used to drive an old truck that upshifted fairly well using the technique. Davy
