  1. Hmmm, I see your point, Terry, but I still like the look from the pictures. I'm the 'different' guy in the crowd and I like the work you have put into the car. I suppose it is not that I like the look of the projector beam lights more then the stock size ones, but I think the uniqueness was what was cool about it. Yes, you are right in saying the 7" lights are more balanced looking with the widebody then the smaller units. Thanks for the email, Terry! Davy
  2. That would be one heck of a commute car! TVRs have always sparked my interest. They are a good example of the British cottage car manufacturing industry of the not too distant past: big on style and power, but a bit lacking in fit and finish. This one looks really good from the pictures and would be fun to drive. Their newer cars are exceptionally sweet. Davy
  3. Ahem, there was residual fuel in there--didn't you smell it?!? I'll give you some matched to play with around those lines if you'd like Davy
  4. The gent is smoking crack for sure. They are just not worth that much from all the evidence I have seen. Give him your card and phone number and have him call if he can't sell it. My $.02. Davy
  5. I am crying. The small projector lights were an awesome idea and I thought they looked like the best things that were put into the car. Did you try the lighting at night, Terry? Were they adequate? Do you want to sell them and the cylinder/'hole' you used to mount them in the front of your car. Oh yeah, there were relays too, no? I'm serious, Terry--PM me or email! Did I mention I liked it the way it was before? Davy
  6. Man, the paint color is truly awesome! You should be proud for having such good taste! Davy
  7. Don't feel bad, Auxilary and cut through (he did actually) fuel lines...twice with a sawzall. I'm happy state that we are bot alive and the car is now dead. Glad you are still here too Davy
  8. The car looks killer! As long as the doghouse was insulated and reasonably strong, the sound would not be too intrusive, nor would the heat, and the belts (possibly) coming off would not be an issue for safety. It's a very cool car with a great engine. I like it Davy
  9. Hmmm, you're right: it was worth every penny of your friend's money to take the pic of your car! Nice photo--I made sure I archived that one. The only thing that could have improved it was to have me at the wheel Davy
  10. Justin, the website works for me. Nice work done on that car. I really like the change in color, especially, from the rootbeer brown it used to be. Davy

    new..hi

Welcome aboard! Use the search function Davy
  12. Hope you liked the SF Bay Area. I had a house to paint with the wife, so going out this weekend didn't work for me at this time. Maybe next time, David. I hope you enjoyed the day out! Davy
  13. I take it back--you have been busy. I like the work on the hood scoop (all blended in). Davy
  14. Van, it's good to see you on the site again! You should have HyrbidZ host some good pics of some of your Z cars so we can stare at them Done any recent significant work to Lone's old car??? Davy
  15. The powerglide would do great for a drag strip car. Even if you don't use it, pick it up anyway if it is in good shape. I'm not sure this is the tranny to use for a street going Z car though. Davy
  16. The S30 can be a great handling car, especially when all the bushings have been replaced and the springs & shocks are made for a 'dual purpose' car (like coilovers with a reasonable spring rate). Auxilary has this kind of setup and his car's suspension feels tight, does not squeek, and performs flawlessly. He likes the adjustable Tokikos, but wants to go to a stiffer spring--they feel fine to me however. Davy
  17. David, much better to pick a specific weekend or day---activities of all sorts keep us busy so advanced planning is always key. You picking up a stock engine or something wild?? Davy
  18. 635 with a turbocharged LS1---MMmmmmmmajor pucker factor! I bet it would beat the Triple in a dragrace Davy
  19. You get on your hands and knees and thank God you can do this. My questions were: YES! Leave them as clean metal--there is special tape you can use to shield this part. Not sure, check if they are painted already or bare--that would give a clue. Bright is racy, dark is not. Either one can be practical; depends on how you think. If you are spending the time and money(very little in your case), come up with a color scheme that rocks. You can do suspension in two to three colors for a truly great overall effect. Check the web for all sorts of suspension. Davy
  20. You spend money on it for two to three years and end up woith a car that is not worth much more, and you see nicer cars and finally realize that, "Golly, I should have started with a better car to begin with." I'm not dumping on your parade, but if you do buy the car, make sure you buy parts in firesales and for the uttmost cheapest you can find. Get good at horesetrading too. That car looks like it needs a ton of work and it all adds up. Sometimes spending $1000 more for a car that is in better shape and has a few mods can speed up your quest for the super car of your dreams. Just a thought. Davy
  21. ROTFL! Wow, the guy turned a $12,000 car into a $4000 car! Man, that takes guts to dump tons of money into a car and make it so disgusting that it'll be worth less then half of what the car was without the modifications. Davy
  22. I agree. TX does not have the landscape that Cali does, but it rocks in many other ways just like Phyte listed above. It surely is my next stop when I move out of this God forsaken state. I need a place with some elbow room, good schools for my kids, a low crime rate, a real death penalty, the ability to own decent firearms, etc, etc. And......cheap gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Davy
  23. They don't test 240Z cars in Cali anymore. Just don't let them look under the hood... What Tim said is true, just don't announce the V8 to the world and you'll be fine. If your car is impounded for your street racing, you are on your own and you better hope they don't look under the hood. Davy
