  1. Tony, I'll give you a heads up once I'm ready to sell. One thing I can say about all of the carburettor turbo discussion, this book is a must have: "Turbomania by Bob Tomlinson" I bought it on a recommendation from TonyD - it's a wealth of information on everything you ever wanted to know about forced induction using carbs. I couldnt put it down for two weeks.
  2. Yes please buy it and convert it to MP4 and host it in the downloads section, you'd be my hero.
  3. Tony, I hardly see the 45M for sale, the 40s yeah but the 45Ms seem a lot rarer. I have a brand new pair of 45Ms sitting on my shelf, never seen petrol, which I will be listing on ebay soon as I'm not sure anyone on here would be interested. Especially as I only have two. G.
  4. Hi, where did you get those prices from? I haven't seen a pair of these for sale in a long time, is that for a second hand set?
  5. Please post photos of your gold wheels with rubber on the car. Think it looks awesome.
  6. Anyone got one lying around, prefer complete with minimal shaft play.

    Bio Fuel Z Video

I was trawling through my PC and came across this old video I saved of an S30 running on used vegetable oil. The website which this car came from I believe has long gone, well it was last time I checked, so I thought this could be stored here for history sake, in case anyone is interested in going down this route. Please delete if this is not the right place. NatGeoGreenCarDSLv2.zip
  8. Mike, Thanks, I will try what you suggest.
  9. Hi all, Wonder if you could shed some light. I am reading posts where people have posted photographs yet I am only seeing some of the photos and not all. I can tell as they say, below we have the xxxxxx and all I see is a big space. This is prominent on threads with lots of photographs. Refreshing my browser doesn't make them appear either and the bottom left of my firefox window says "Done", so I know it's not still transferring and thinks that the page has fully loaded. I know this is probably just a my pc related problem. I am running Windows XP, with Firefox. Appreciate the help. Thanks,
  10. Sorry for resurecting a 3month old post but I've been doing research on the AZC A arms and it looks as if the design has now changed and they are made out of billet aluminium and are no longer tubular. Here's a link: http://www.arizonazcar.com/lowarms.html This new design probably addresses the issues spoken about above.
  11. Ok folks, still need a 260Z fuel pump bracket. Scott kindly send me photos of his 280Z one and that is not what I require. They are not the same as the 260Z one. I want the 260Z one as there is already provision of the correct mounting holes under the 240Z and I do not want to have to drill new holes. This is what the 260Z bracket looks like, only shots I found of it are on classiczcars.com, you may need to be a member to view the attachments but here goes: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=277985&postcount=5 Thank you.
  12. Hi I appreciate your offer, however it would be simpler for me to purchase one ready made then to attempt to make. Scott may be able to help me out, I'll keep you guys updated if not. Thanks.
  13. Hi, Looking for a 260Z rear fuel pump bracket, this bracket hangs down from the rear chassis near the fuel tank. Part must be in a good straight condition, I need a price for part plus a shipping quote to the UK. Thanks,
  14. Is it really rust free? Makes me wonder seeing that it's parked outside with a cover over the top in snow... It's a constant struggle keeping these babies rust free unless you live in a very hot climate with no humidity, which this one is clearly not living in.
  15. Hi all, I put my car on ramps yesterday so I could fit my AZC pan but felt defeated as the pickup fouls the tray in the pan - the gearbox appears to be in the way for me to get the right angle on the pan. The engine is a late ZX engine, F54 block so the pick up should be the right one. I have come to the conlcusion that you can only fit the pan whilst you have the engine out or the gearbox off the car. Am I correct or is there a trick I have missed? Thanks,
  16. She should have been a member of HybridZ and she would have been fine in her own Z.
  17. I second that. Any idea what could have caused the brake failure, are you using an OEM set up or did you upgrade?
  18. I have gone for twin turbo set up simply for the nostalgic point of view and for the wow factor, and it was a little more challenging then fitting a single turbo. I know it may not be the most efficient but I like it.
  19. For reference, these are photos which I received from Euro Carb which illustrate the 45M with the power jet feature. I also attach the 45M exploded diagram.
  20. Hey there, there isn't much information out there unfortunately. I have a diagram and that's in Italian! If you want a copy shoot me an email.
  21. Do you have an Air Fuel Ratio sensor, to help keep an eye on what's going on? Will be a good investment.
  22. I've done a lot of reading here about the old triple carb blow through set ups that people drove around in back in the day. Seems that the consensus is that however much you tuned them there was drivability issues. However these set ups were usually with Mikunis or Webers. I wonder if anyone tried the carburettor that Dellorto developed for the Lotus Esprit Turbo, the DHLA 45M, as this is the only true turbo carb. They had what was called the 'tri-jet' system, which as well as an idle and main circuit, had a power jet circuit for extra enrichment at high revs. I am hoping someone has used them and could give some insight on how the drivability was. I originally thought that a DHLA 45 could be converted into a DHLA 45M by using the 45M gasket kit and machining the body to accept the spindle seal retaining washer. However a call to Eurocarb in the UK told me that it just makes them pressure proof- the carb will still not have the power jet feature that the 45M has.
  23. Corky Bell would agree with you Tony, quote from Maximum Boost, "Are blow-through carb systems technically and functionally workable? Yes. For some heavy-hitting evidence, drive a Lotus Turbo Esprit or a Maserati Bi-Turbo."
