  1. You win! Where on earth were you? My best in a non Z is -45C (no wind chill) in a VW golf. No block heater and it started right up. Slowly but started. The only problem was that one I put the car in gear the clutch froze in place and I had to keep driving untill the heat released it. For you southern fellas...-40C = -40F Freakin cold!
  2. The day my wife received her 350 Roadster for her Birthday... Feb 23rd, -20C and sunny.....with the top down, windows up and heat blasting. I had a touqe on.........
  3. I just purchased a set of 3 point retractable belts from Motorsport Auto for my 71. They are made by Retro Belt USA. Price from MA was 189....about $60 bucks cheaper than on the RBU website. I will scan the installation instructions today and measure the overall length of the belts. That should get you going in the right direction. I thought of doing the same thing you did but decided on against it due to the safe being of my hide. I also considered using a set of 240SX belts I have laying around and am pretty sure they will work as well but but didnt do it as I wanted the metal buckles. In my quest to find retractable belts I also talked to this outfit a number of times. http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=Ssnake-Oyl&Category_Code=NEW_SEAT_CAT_HEAD about their custom belts. But they were extremely reluctant to recommed any sort of intsllation instructions. To the point of concern. In the end they came back and said..."we only restore belts". So I reminded them of their custom belts on the website and they repeated their reply. They proably act this way for liability reasons but it makes me think they dont know what they are talking about. What pisses me off is they had really nice brushed SS buckles I wanted...Oh well! I guess they are called Snake -Oyl for a reason. I will post details later today.

  5. I have nothing against this outfit...have bought many things over the years.... Nice air dam but it seems to me that its not complete. Just doesnt seem finished right, perhaps its the opening just under the hood. I wouldnt get if I had a S130.
  6. YUP sure is....I have the same one but on a bottom mount turbo.
  7. Very nice Jason! Makre sure the garage doors are insulated!
  8. Nikon...what else? Semi Sweet or Milk Chocolate?
  9. I did the same 2 years ago...every present off Ebay! And I purchased some very interesting items that I could not have bought at Walmart! Or any place localy! Its a shame that people turn into such feeding frenzy beasts! Its not worth a life no matter how you look at it! I dont participate! Retail is sooooo competitive that I feel confident I can always negotiate I deal to my satisifaction. ALWAYS!
  10. Do a search for aluminum dashes ...there are a number of good threads with pics. As for the Z32 dash...I think its been done?? If you can get it cheap...do so. Measure it up and test fit it. If it doesnt work you can sell it for a profit. Dont forget the console.
  11. If you want to see a yellow 240Z ...follow the link below.
  12. Ive hit gold as well...together for 25 years! And I dont want her picking up a wrench! My hobby/My time out!
  13. Being in a relationship doesnt mean you have to stop living your own life and enjying your own interests. Just remember....its all about balance!!!!! Work on the car...but dont forget the balance. Perhaps she is pissed because you have????
  14. Ive been considering CF bumpers ....They look great on this Z..... but I still cant decide. I think they would look great on my yellow Z???
  15. OMFG....Learning to TIG weld will be the end of me!!!!! Check out my handi work! NOT! But I live by...never give up .......never surrender! Watch the puddle...watch the puddle!
  16. If there is no gas there are no worries.
  17. The water heater is in the garage? Explain to him you will disconnect and seal the fuel lines and that oil "fumes" will not ignite Once you remove the fuel system the engine will not have any gas in it, You will not have a problem unless you spill fuel all over the place and this shoulnt happen as you are not doing anything with the gas tank. If your carefull there should be very little gas fumes.
  18. I dont see this scissor lift as ideal in any way but I cant imagine it just toppling over....not if you properly secure one end to the floor with bolts. Im sure its good for fluid changes, wheel changes and the odd brake job. And if you have the cash it sure brings in a level of out doing your car buddies I have a Kwiklift...its great but a compromise due to a lack of ceiling height. Edit...the kitchen theme is a bit fufu...I would opt for a more manly approach. Drop the pretty curtins and throw up a plasma!
  19. Monthly...not around here...try daily, lol But Im sure there will be buyers. Hopefuly only for showcars.
  20. I never put SX seats into my Z ...just the G20. I made a couple of crossmembers and bolted the stock Z rails to them.(after removing the G20 rails). It was pretty straight forward. That way they mounted to the stock floor seat brackets. The SX seats should be similar.
  21. Nice clean install........love it! Well done.
