  1. Dammit my dad didn't make it home on time =( Someone got a pretty damn good deal... Mario
  2. Yea, I saw that. It's the JCR kit though. As much as I'd love to make my own manifold, I don't have the money or resources to do it at this time. On the other hand, putting it on the passenger side allows you to run an intercooler (eBay special or my large NPR). I just need to come up with a mounting plate and pipe adapter like 280zedx's setup, just lower, or find the elbow off a thunderbird or something. I'm ordering the v-belt pulley soon, apparently it has to be machined to fit the tapered bore of the eaton pulleys, and the nose will need machining or a delrin spacer made to prevent the pulley from rubbing. Or I can just try finding a pulley that's a better match... The s/c should be here this week... Mario
  3. Uh oh... Might have just found my Christmas present... Mario
  4. Wow I'm not really a big Transformers fan but that looks awesome! Mario
  5. I've also seen a TT Supercharged WRX (it's in the Phoenix area, or was) that used the Mercede's electric clutch s/c and a pressure switch that would bypass the s/c and cut it off from the engine when the turbos finally spooled. Mario
  6. Twincharging has been done by Japanese manufactures in the past, and VW is bringing it back IIRC... The BMW guy has had his car up to 5500 rpms, which for his setup is 8psi at this point on a v-belt with no slipping... I think I might try the v-belt route first... Mario FYI Frank I had typed this up before you posted yours but for some reason it wouldn't post...
  7. Wheels! I want that style of wheels so bad.... Hmm... If i had a tractor... Mario
  8. They're one wire, meaning narrowband O2. I'd get a wideband instead if you're going to use it for tuning your car. If it's for show... ehh Mario
  9. Will it clear the steering shaft on a LHD Z? Or are you going RHD? Mario
  10. Sounds like iffy or corroded battery terminal connections. Mario
  11. Well, to tell you the truth I'm waiting on an M90 install for some BMW I found online. He bought the v-belt pulley from a hydraulics place and is putting the s/c in place of his a/c. Let's see what results he gets... Another option is two v-belts, run an electric fan and use the smaller a/c pulley to turn the waterpump and alternator... If I can't use the v-belt, where do you get serpentine belt pulleys? I can't find the Arizona Zcar one's listed online anymore... If I can't do that then I'm waiting for 280zedx to come back from vacation and ask him what pulley off what minivan he used. Mario
  12. Yea, thanks for pointing that out. I guess what I will try to do is find a ZX damper and use the power steering groove. This is what I was talking about: On the outlet port there are those two triangular peices (one on the top, one on the bottom), the actual s/c has a slit in each one of those peices. The "mod" that I saw was that they were partially filled in, thus creating a smaller slit. Hmm... I'll just post a picture of when I recieve it, it was sent yesterday Mario
  13. I'm shopping for a set too.. hint hint nudge nudge Mario
  14. What's with all the wheels?!?! You crazy man... you should just start shipping out presents to all the hybridz members It's the season of giving you know At one point we had 5 Zs... my mom's coworkers thought we were a Z dealership... I have boxes and boxes full of parts... most for ZXs... I REALLY need to move this stuff on eBay... Mario
  15. Aren't the NISMO studs longer as well (or available longer?)? Mario
  16. I'm pretty sure it's a fake just like the VW suicide bomber one... Mario
  17. It has a boost gauge too... Interesting... Mario
  18. Do you (or she) tag or stencil? I've been wanting to get into stenciling, a few friends do it and it looks awesome. I'm ok with a can but I rather just use markers/pens/pencils etc. I'd etch that on the driver's side quarter window Mario
  19. I think I got my ball joints from NAPA. They were so crappy I had to clean out the threads with a tap because one of them stripped one of the supplied bolts... If you have the money get them through Courtesy. Mario
  20. New winter project: supercharge and MegaSquirt my 280z. I just bought a M90 off ebay as I've heard talks of underdriving it allowing it to last longer, and also for upgrade potential (looking around some 3.0l BMW guys were unhappy with an M62). So far the plan is to move the alternator to where the A/C was, and use the A/C belt to drive it (thus underdriving the alternator). This leave the larger diameter puller to move the supercharger. The s/c would be mounting on the passenger side. So here's a few questions, can the supercharger be driven off the v-belt? I can't tell but it seems like the JCR kit was. Also, what are some mods that can be done to the supercharger? I saw on eBay a guy who made the slots on the output side of the supercharger smaller, claiming it produced more of the supercharger whine and boosted faster. Is that true? I'm going to run about 10psi with either an intercooler or water injection to start off. Ideas? Comments? Thanks, Mario
  21. Uh oh... Time to start picking out a color and getting bodywork advise.... Mario
