  1. My dad read somewhere that you get a some dry ice, leave it on a small section for a while, then chisel it off. I really want to try this as I'm thinking of painting the inside of my car too. Mario
  2. There's a Z cup in the Nissan dealership I think... You beat that and get the 240z. I've also done everything to mine, it's pretty cool but I wish they'd let you use wider rubber... Mario
  3. If I recall correctly, 1 Fast Z lightened his forged pistons in his current engine, and again, if I remember correctly, by a considerable amount. Check his post on zcar.com and see how rev happy his engine is: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=4&i=324485&t=324485 Of course not all of us have access to a machine shop I can't wait till I'm done with college and (hopefully) not too broke so I can build up an engine Can't wait to see yours done, you have one of the nicest ZXs out there! Mario
  4. http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=149334 I don't know if it's still available. Get that, then do the mods to the bellhousing and bolt up a KA tranny instead of a Z one.... Mario
  5. Looks nice! Did you put it over the original tar or did you tear all that out? Mario
  6. Are you saying I only have months left? Damn! I'm 19 and have owned 4 Zs (well one was a parts car) in the short amount of time I've been driving. 1 was an 83 ZX that I fixed up a little, maintained, and sold for more then I bought it after about a year. This was when I had my 82 ZXT with FMIC, MSnS-E, BOV, etc, and that was my daily driver. Now I'm in college and DD my 78 Z. With my insanely low suspension, loud exhaust, no amenities (like radio, AC, etc), it is purely a drivers car. I really hope I don't get sick of it... I doubt I've broken $10k with all the small repairs money I've thrown in them. At least I hope not Mario
  7. awesome Phil! I'm pretty sure that z32 is pushing some nice numbers too! Mario
  8. Yea found a turbo dizzy on there for my MS install in my 280z for cheap! Some prices are rediculous though... well for me anyways, I rather go to the yard and pull it to squeeze my pennies. Mario
  9. I got some 15x7 Fast Forwards in full flat black. That and some closed end black lugs would allow them to not be noticed. Just an idea... Mario BTW I'm trying to sell these *hint hint nudge nudge
  10. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Since the cold air is denser then it should be the one in smaller diameter pipe and the hot pipe the larger diameter? Or is the difference just negligable? Mario
  11. The only thing I can remember is that I'm running -2 deg of camber on all 4 wheels with no bad tire wear. Full spec sheet is back at home (in Flagstaff) but I'm going to get my dad to scan it since I need to have it double checked once I get the new wheels and tires. Car handles awesome. This was done using camber bushings in the front, slotted towers in the rear. Running a little bit of tow out in the front makes it a little twichy but it sure does bite on turn in. Oh yea, car is also 3in off the ground and has Tokico Illuminas on all 4. Mario
  12. Are you using a downloaded ringtone? I can easily blow mine out if I load or download a ringtone that didn't have the bass cut at a certain frequency. Mario
  13. Full time student majoring in Electrical Engineering, with minors in Computer Engineering and Math. Hoping to be part time tech support soon... Don't know what the heck I'm doing later... Mario
  14. I've got a Leman's gas cap from VR engineering and what I think is the hood grill ornament prancing pony. E-mail me if you're interested. Mario
  15. The look like the MSA street flairs which are NLA. I *think* Black Dragon offers something similar. Mario
  16. Thanks for posting this! I recieved a slightly different version from you (I think) by e-mail like a year or so ago when I asked about them on another forum, still had to read through it all though! I think the cars look so badass!!! Mario
  17. You can't run that cam as it is ground for hydraulic lifters. If you want a turbo cam you have to run one from a P-90 or a solid lifter P-90a. Or just upgrade to an aftermarket turbo cam. Mario
  18. I wonder if they would actually make a noticeable difference... Don't you already have enough wheels?? Just messing with ya, Mario
  19. My OEM replacement is slipping under full boost in 3rd (in the ZXT). I'm not at your power levels so I'll probably get the $180 XTD clutch since my dad seems to be taking over this car so I don't think we'll be making it faster. Mario
  20. Dead starter or dead battery or corroded battery cables. Or the above combined. Mario
  21. Are you or a shop painting it? A shop should be able to get it at a better price then they'll give you. Mario
  22. Montana cans are what friend's and I use when we graff/stencil and we want to display it. That paint is awesome it's just really pricey, which goes against what Ed is going for. Ed, what clear did you use? Does the clear have any UV protection? I wonder how long it will last... Mario
  23. Awesome! Your car is an inspiration for mine! I can't wait till I get some time to work on the damn thing... Mario
