Isn't it undersized for the L28? Also, how many uses do you get before the batteries die? And I wonder how long the batteries last because that grade of battery is definately not cheap. Mario

I heard that the Maxima tranny is WEAK. The right up on zcar.com (under articles) shows how to swap in a starion tranny with maxima tranny parts and is said to be much stronger (if it is from a turbo car). Mario

I know 240z panels are different then 280z ones. I *think* early 260z ones should work. Does the whole thing have to be replaced? If not I know Tabco and a few other places sell replacement parts (as well as probably the whole thing). Mario

Aren't probes fwd? Is there a rwd tranny that bolts on? Why that v6? Doesn't seem like it's potential is really worth it.... Anyways, more power to ya if you go through with it. Mario

It's cuz they were out of production and recently run off. Someone on zcar.com got them for $220 from the dealership. Mario

Hmm, I would run as big as a display as possible. I've run a Lilliput 7in touchscreen (yes... cheapest of the cheap) and there's no way I can/would use it in an automotive application, especially to tune. I want to do the same with one of my cars eventually, i've got a few mini-itx motherboards and lots of laptop parts to make a very small PC. I'm also thinking about rewiring or hacking a small external numpad and trackball mouse to put in the center console to facilitate data entry and MP3/GPS usage. Mine is almost a 3in drop. Even so my control arms were repositioned and camber bushings installed in the front. I can run upt -3deg negative front and up to -2.5deg in the back. Mario

Yea, the stock turbo ecu just requires continuity at that switch during idle. For MS you need a true TPS, one with a potentiometer to tell the ECU exactly where the throttle is. Mario

Won't they have to be cut to fit on a 280z since it doesn't have the indentations? What I'm thinking of doing since my car isn't show is to buy fiberglass ones and paint them with that Alsa Corp chrome paint. Mario

Looks great! Are you using a Mini-itx pc? If so you probably already know this but mini-box.com has a lot of the little components so that you can design the system yourself to your own specs. What LCD are you using? Mario

The way the sticky has been set up has never used the HEI on the input side of the RPM signal. The dizzy automatically outputs a wave (maybe even square...) that MS understands. Mario

Haha, on my 280zxt I had one of those $50 CD players with a digital tuner (aka they must have cut costs somewhere...) that would do the same thing. That and it didn't play CDs when it was too cold haha. I don't drive with the radio anymore, I really like the turbo whistle and psshh of the BOV. Mario

Megasquirt needs the following set: Baud Rate 9600 - MegaSquirt 115200 - MegaSquirt-II Data Bits 8 Stop Bits 1 Flow Control None I think you are referring to the MAP sensor. You will have to runn a vacuum line to the ECU box wherever you decide to place it. Mario
