  1. I believe they sold a nice v8 swapped 240z on eBay a while ago. Same color too.... Reminds me of the cheap plastic hubcaps they sell in Mexico with the fake cross drilled rotors. Mario
  2. That thing's in Phoenix and it sometimes comes up to Flagstaff! Maybe I'll see it one day.... Mario
  3. I'm in the same situation except no cars allowed on campus for freshman.... maybe sophomores too... and well... not many car guy's here either. You'll find new friends and come up with other things to do, just remember to stay in touch. Mario
  4. Looks sweet! The YZ is originally without headlight holes right? Mario
  5. To tune spark I believe requires a dyno, a pyrometer and afr gauge, detonation detection, and patience. I am running a slightly modified Moby's old map to 10 psi no probs. Mario
  6. That was insane... the guy laughing in the background cracks me up. Mario
  7. Why not use the resistors in the write-up or better yet, the OEM Nissan resistors available on 70-80 year cars? Mario
  8. Wouldn't it be possible to just program MS to just output a calibrated 0-1volt output to use a narrowband gauge? Mario
  9. Those are the ZX style ones though, not the early ones. Mario
  10. I believe the stock cam can reach your goals. All you would need are better springs. Mario
  11. Do you have the video in better quality anywhere?? When are you gonna get a tach? What do you think your redline is at with the az zcar piston rod combo? Car looks and sounds sweet. Awesome kill. Mario
  12. Found it. Had to go into editor mode to take off the old missing pic. Mario
  13. It's technically 25 pixels too tall. Mario
  14. No, it wasn't deleted by the mods, it was in an old website that got deleted. Mario
  15. The custom AZ zcar pistons compensate for this. You are left with a better stroke and bore ratio. 8.5:1 cr turbo's seem to have a nice sweet spot. Almost the same compression as a NA L28 and turbo to boot. They are awesome for power and torque and with standalone engine management, you could easily keep the detonation at bay. This or turboing a flat top block and P90 is going to be my route for when I build another turbo car. Mario
  16. Check locally. A friend in AZ got one in the local auto magazines from a wrecked firebird I think.... Mario
  17. One of the problems is the big open front with the flat firewall. The g-noes helps considerably I heard, as well as louvering of the hood or inspection lids and properly placed vents behind the front wheels to help relieve all that pressure in the firewall. I have seen pics of high speed Zs having their hoods bow up front the underhood pressures. Mario
  18. By default, it seems that if pics can't be loaded, then nothing shows, not even a red X. Well, I have a pic in my sig from an old website that was taken offline, and I can't find a way of deleting it... Last I knew it was still there, dunno for sure anymore. Mario
  19. I hear that you have to heat it to a certain temp then cool it, or use some special rod. If not it'll crack on the welds. I'm not a welder so this is all stuff I remember reading. Mario
  20. Oh and hard decels with the engine sound sooooo sweet! I miss that sound so much too! Mario
  21. The difference is night and day! No more large rpm drops. I love this setup! It's what I have on my ZXT. The gap between 2-3 on my 280z really sucks... Sweet story, and damn, your car looks so sweet even when its not done! Mario
  22. I heard it was gonna be discontinued like a month before Christmas, and that all the ones are already built. The holden looks way better in my opinion, and it's actually supposed to be a pretty cool car. Mario
  23. I dunno about that, but there are several companies out there making these I think. Some people do claim it works. One person at zcar.com machines and polishes this style of brace and they look really nice. Who knows, maybe they have week firewalls? Mario
  24. http://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/index2.htm I beleive you can get the RS-8's in that size. Or go with some custom wheels like CCW's. Mario
  25. Sounds like TPS adjustment or in need of drying. It might have gotten wet with seafoam. Also, did you bump any electrical connectors? Temp sensors are very important to the original EECS. Mario
