  1. The MSnS-E website (megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra) also has directions now posted on how to wire up the non-hei version to drive the coil. http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/setup-msns.html The IGBT circuit is considered a dumb module so MSnS-E must have dwell control turned on. If I had my car I'd be working on it as well..... Mario
  2. I do beleive the IC's get warm/hot when in use.
  3. Why do you need to order a MAP sensor? Is it a higher boost one? If so, see which ones are compatible with the firmware. I think these are all the most common replacements, and I believe MSnS-E is comaptible with all of them: http://www.megasquirt.info/v22manual/3bar.htm MPX4250AP showld have come with your kit. Mario
  4. Are you gonna run an IC? If so, you will have to move it. My IC lowers temps somehwere in the neighborhood of 100 degs, oh, I used that hole for my BOV. Mario
  5. Either swap the pinion flanges like stated above or have a driveline shop swap the yoke on the driveshaft. That might be better if the driveshafts need refreshing, plus you'll probably get serviceable joints. Mario
  6. Yep, the G35x, but I believe its only for the sedan. Apparently the 350z for this year GAINED weight and LOST torque. Where is Nissan going with this? Mario
  7. Nice to know, thanks Mack (on the KA). A friend really into 240sx's is considering getting another one to mess with while up in chitown. That'd be a cool project. Mario
  8. Don't they get really crappy gas mileage? I know it holds the record for worse gas mileage at the Top Gear track (2nd is the Enzo). They had the 400hp version though, which takes like 100 octane. Isn't the maintenance hell too? Mario
  9. Where is it too long? Can you cut it? Mario
  10. Top speed on a 350z is limited by the computer to ~155 mph. Good luck on selling the Z, maybe if I sold all 4 of mine I could afford it. Mario
  11. In Chicago, 90's 300zx with a widebody kit, nice deep dish rims, and exhaust. Red, had Sarge Z1 for a liscence plate. Nice car! Mario
  12. Well, what are you gonna do about keeping the fumes out? For not seeing past it, what about something like the fuzzy window trim? Mario
  13. I'm pretty sure you can't, just like you can't swap a KA SOHC head for a DOHC. I don't think things line up. Search to be sure though. Mario
  14. Holy crap that looks sooooo clean. I can't describe it, its just sooo good. Awesome work, Mario
  15. One of the manufactures of Z and ZX headlight covers says they can make custom ones, so maybe we can use someone's covers as a mold and make a few. You can always try Japan, but, unless they are aftermarket here, they're gonna be really expensive. G-nose still looks good without them IMHO Mario
  16. My family uses Skype. We have local only at home, and we rarely use long distance. We use Skype to talk to relatives in Mexico, as it is way cheaper then anything else out there. Vonage looks good if you use long distance a lot, and their international isn't that bad either. All that matters for Skype and our DSL is that sometimes (mostly Sunday nights) you get some lag and echo, since so many people are using it. Mario
  17. If you want, I can refer you to my friend. He does freelance design, both web and tattoo. Some really cool stuff, but it isn't free/cheap. Mario
  18. Use the WB output. Make sure MS is configured for WBO2 with the correct crossover point, which is like 2.5v on the LC-1. Mario
  19. You need to take Auxilary with you. Let him deal with the sales people. Mario
  20. It really isn't too bad. Just take your time, the instructions are in the place stated above, and are VERY complete. They even have a little soldering guide and instructions on how to test individual parts of the board. I normally build them for people who couldn't for a fee cheaper then buying a built one, but I just moved into college and i don't have my soldering stuff here. Good luck, Mario
  21. I have a 240sx friend, and he said that destroking the KA to 2.2l gives you a VERY rev happy engine. That and the availability of turbo kits and a huge aftermarket would make a sweet setup. Mario
  22. The turbo dizzy is for spark control. On an NA Z, you can run fuel only, or lock your distributor and use the crank CAS from an 81 ZXT and run fuel and spark. It's just easier to swap in the Turbo dizzy for spark control, Mario
