Hey all, Long time lurker, first-time poster. I am currently in the process of building an early 240z with a rb26 in it. I have just finished rebuilding my motor and mating it to the rb25 gearbox so I am in the process of getting it all mounted up in place. I am using the CXracing mount kit. I would have gone the McKinney kit but unfortunately here in Australia the dollar was low at the time of ordering so this was the only affordable one. Anyway, I have got the engine mounted up and am having trouble getting the gearbox up in the tunnel as the speedo sensor is interfering with the ears. I'm not sure the best way to go about fixing this issue. I have seen plenty of pics of peoples mods of notching out the bracket with the other style of tunnel mounting but I can't see any solutions that utilise the cx mounts I have. Has anyone come across and solved this problem at all? I have uploaded 2 pics of the interference, and also one of the mounts that I have that attaches between the ears. I have already tried just moving the engine forwards but the mounts are already set such that the engine is as far forward as possible. Any help would be much appreciated!!

The mechanical pump started to leak due to a cracked diaphragm so I decided to swap in an electric K & N pump. I need to upgrade the coil and wires now though.-

Hello all, I'm in search of two alignment guides that are missing from my 240z. Any help/leads on these is appreciated. The pic is not mine.

Hey guys, I just started installing my Eibach ProKit springs on my 240z. I brainlessly painted over the part numbers on the springs so I had to do a lot of research to figure out which one was which. The longer non-progressive spring is 6305.001 and goes in the front, I believe, and the progressive shorter spring is 6305.202 and goes in the rear. This is correct yes? I installed the longer non-progressive spring (what I believe to be 6305.001) on one of the front struts last night and the spring looks to be slightly bent out sideways -- i.e. it's not straight up and down. You can also see that it's not straight because the piston rod is not visibly centered within the spring. I'm not sure if it's just not seated properly or what. I did notice the spring coil ends are in the little groves in the strut cap and strut base. See the pictures below and see what you think.

Looking for a FRONT-RIGHT strut housing for my 1973 240Z. Anybody have one lying around? I have a nice set of inspection lids - primered and ready to go if you are interested in a trade - or of course, CASH. Thanks FOUND! thanks HybridZ and Z240!

Hello everyone, I picked up a 1971 240z in Oregon for $650. I'm sure I should of looked closer but I was surprised to find that it already has headers, a 5 speed swap, and a K&N air filter. I had my eye on it for about half a year and was lucky enough to finally purchase it. I was told that it was running when it was parked and it was last registered in 08. I brought it home thanks to some help from friends and family and now sits comfortably in my garage. I started out by changing fluids, bleeding the brake lines (the brakes were nonexistent), drained the gas tank and put some fresh gas in, and cleaned the spark plugs. After picking up a new battery and getting the starter and alternator tested I was able to fire her up. There was quite a bit of backfiring through the carbs and exhaust but each time I started her up it got a lil better and after changing the plugs I rarely get any backfire. I've got a huge list of things to buy/fix and am looking forward to all the fun and bloody knuckles that await me. I'm getting it running good for the time being and hope to dig in this fall/winter to fix some of the rust and interior.

I'm in need of Su round top floats but I can't find anything on the internet that is not priced ridiculously. Tried datsunparts.com but they took a week to process my order then changed the price from $32 to $60 last minute. Im located in Canada any help would be greatly appreciated! I really want to set up the round tops on my 260z and get it running. Thanks

Hello everyone, I'm having some issues with getting my 1971 240z started. I've changed fluids, cleaned spark plugs, and got a new battery. I've had the starter and the alternator checked and they are both good. I have power going to the voltage regulator when the key is on but all I get is a clicking sound from a relay that is inside the cab on the passenger side. The fuse box has power but has been modified from stock by the previous owner. I have a video at :54 is the relay clicking. Any help is appreciated. I can also take more vids of dash and engine wiring.
