Has anyone seen or used the Prismalab/NRG GT seat in their S30 or other models? I'm not seeing many, if any reviews in my hunts for seats to fit my build but I'm liking the look and design of them.

I got my hands on a set of LX-B seats, had them custom redone. Looking for a set of bolt in brackets / sliders for driver and passenger. Anyone have a good source?? Thanks all!

So I got this knock-off of a reproduction Kameari seat. The stock seat belts feel totally inadequate as they hang across the bolsters of the seat, inches in front of my waist. I'm aware that the only DOT approved solution is the stock seat with the stock belt. I wanted something that works for autocross so I'm not driving from the passenger side every time I turn left. I rarely drive on the street (mainly just to car meets). Being a California car very few more modern seats fit without modifying the cat hump. So, what are my options here? It looks like I'm going to need a 4/5 point with a harness bar (and headrest) behind me, and to slot the bottom/sides of the seat?

Hey guys, I recently bought a 240z and it ended up having more rust than I originally thought, thus begins my new winter project. Pulling her home with my 1987 2WD Toyota Pickup. That was a long haul between northeast of Sacramento and Southern California. The truck performed well though! The car sat for a while and the engine internals have rusted. The overview plan is to pull the engine, fix the front half of the car's rust problems, swap the SUs from the L24 to my rebuilt L28, install the engine, and drive it while fixing other things (interior). Some hood damage. Hopefully I can bump these out. Starting to inspect for rust on the passenger side frame rail/firewall interface. It's definitely in need of some work. Inside engine bay rail. Engine removal In preparation for cutting into frame rails I dropped the front suspension to remove as much stressed from the rails as possible. Stand I welded up to support car from the transmission mounts. I've made a little more progress -- started making patch panel templates and cutting metal from the battery tray area. It looks like I'm going to be replacing a lot of metal around the battery tray area -- frame rail, battery tray inner fender, a piece of the firewall, and passenger side floor pan. Hopefully driver side isn't this bad.

So I'm in the upper midwest and I'm not aware of any places near me that would be a good place to test sit in semi-racing seats (seats that hold you better than stock but are still comfortable and adjustable/recline, etc., and accept harnesses), and I definitely don't want to just buy a bunch and return the uncomfortable ones as shipping costs would be stupid. I'm a big guy with wide hips and shoulders, any recommendations out there for a brands/styles that are better for the bigger people, that are type that described above (semi-racing)? Don't really want to turn this into a "what fits into an S30" post cuz then I'll just get a "use the search button" response, but if you happen to know of some bigger comfier semi-racing seats that just happen to bolt up and fit in an S30, try to draw attention to that note haha. I'm willing to make brackets and etc. Just to give you an idea of size, I have a waist size of 46, and if you've ever sat in a s14, those stock cloth seats hurt my butt cuz the wings are too narrow.

Hello, I have been scouring the internet trying to find info on bucket seats from Bride Zeta III XL and the STATUS RING GT-X Now I know bride makes the rail/bracket for this car for the zeta type seat, and the planted or wedge makes brackets with status sliders /side mounts will work with the status seat. I am just having one hell of a time trying to find out if these seats will fit in the s30 240z as i can't see to find the definitive max seat measurements cheers!

Perfect fit. I'm 6-1 at 195 and I have plenty of room. I used the stock sliders with 2 new holes drilled and new holes in the stock mounting points. Easy peasy......

I'm going to replace my '70 Z seats with a set from a 2005 Honda Civic which I've read can fit nicely. Since the seats have the buckle as part of the seat I was wondering if I should integrate the seat belts from the same car. I'd feel better since The Honda's belts are newer and probably safer. Has any one done this mod?

Hello all!! After replacing the floor pans and bracket base, I broke off a stud on my donor veh 1970 seat frame. It's a very unique bolt. Anyone have any ideas on where I can get a replacement and how to remove the old and install the new one...Help!!!

I was going to re-upholster my old seats, but as I am taking a trip from Reno to the Bay Area I figured I might as well be on the lookout for some nice black seats (rails for an S30 as well if not originally S30 seats) from OEM to Recaro, I am open to just about anything that is in good condition and BLACK Thanks!!

Here is how I refinished my seats: I stripped the paint off the frames, used the POR marine cleaner, then used the POR metal etcher, then painted with POR-15 I used metal wire to tie the seat springs back together I used thin carpet squares on top of the seat springs to protect the foam I recovered the lower parts, clamping the inner wire with hog rings to the frame underneath. Tip: heat up the covers in the sun first I made new wires to hold the upper portion to the seat back, and fastened with hog rings. I placed a plastic bag on top to make fitting the cover easier. I pulled the vinyl covers onto the top. I got these covers from Ebay for $200 and was very happy with the quality. I requested this design, with the vent grommets eliminated and orange stitching. I cut out new rubber guards. I repainted and greased the mechanisms, then reattached them to the seats. Tip: use an impact driver, not a regular screw gun, or drill. Elapsed time: 1 weekend. So after all that, I installed them to discover that with the new seat foam, the seats are too high, and I preferred my old seats. haha. At least they look good.
