PerformanceVH
Thanks! They do make wider front fenders but it's the whole fender. NCchris
Beautiful work, man! I love it! The VH 45 is a really neat engine in my opinion and you are making me want this. I already have the perfect vehicle! chris Edited April 18, 2013 by NCchris
PerformanceVH
Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm shaving my antenna too, as well as the hole for the rear wiper. Yeah a slick top VH is the way to go! My buddy is going with a VH swap in his slicky. I absolutely love the VH platform and I intend to do a lot of testing/documentation with this engine. NCchris
Quick question: Will the tarantula clear the hood with your engine mounts or do we need a custom intake? Edit: Another quickie: Keep AC? chris Edited April 19, 2013 by NCchris
PerformanceVH
The intake will not clear the hood unfortunately, The only way it will clear the hood is with a spaced sub-frame I believe. Definitely a no-no in my book! lol Just my opinion. No AC or powersteering. I may add power steering in the future... in the form of a Opel Astra electric pump. Pharaohabq
Very cool, Will all this fit in a Z32 2+2? I'm loving those bumpers wings and skirts. I'll have to check out the website n see if you've got pricing up yet. A couple Q's: On that oil pan, I guess it'll have to be installed only with the motor out since those rear bolts will be about impossible to reach otherwise, right? Not that anythink in the Z32 engine compartment is easy to get to. How well does the VH fit front to back? Won't it hit the radiator?
PerformanceVH
Yes, it will fit the 2+2. Thanks! It really has exceeded my expectations i had from my imagination! I'm slowly getting everything uploaded onto the website. The oil pan isn't listed yet. It's a tight fit, You need to install the oil pan with the engine out, install the engine in the car and then bolt the transmission from under the car. The oil pan will not clear the sub-frame when installing if the transmission is attached. I rotated the transmission mount 180 degrees to move the transmission and engine towards the fire wall by about an inch. You can still use the OEM driveshaft. You will have to shorten the shifter linkage. With the engine being pulled back 1" it is centered over the front subframe. There is plenty of room for the radiator. I am relocating the radiator to keep everything hidden, and for room when I go turbo'ed.

PerformanceVH
I finished up the oil pan. I've been working on fabricating up 3 more sets of engine mounts and oil pans. As well as poly engine mounts. Going to the bodyshop this week! Can't wait! Edited May 29, 2013 by PerformanceVH
PerformanceVH
Made some more progress today, fabricated the lower radiator mounts, made some poly insulators and started on the hood pin layout. I'll be either painting these hood pins to match or I'll get some white ones.
PerformanceVH
Fabricated my coolant reservoir today. Still have to weld on the hose nipples yet. Finished up another oil pan and installed my hood struts, no more hood prop!

PerformanceVH
This is about as far as I will go with the intake until I get the engine in the car. Time to get busy with body work! Engine bay almost ready for primer... This man is the best auto body specialist I know, watching him work is like watching an artist. I cannot wait until he starts on the exterior, that's when the real magic happens!
PerformanceVH
This weekend I pulled the front suspension apart again for the second time. Greg (the body man) had been working on smoothing the wheel wells out and got some spots in primer. Here's a little preview..
