Haha. Nice...

But seriously' date=' my name, has to do that a while ago, I could never decide what car I wanted. From week to week, I would change my mind about cars.[/quote']

Isn't that a normal thing for an addle-brained kid to do?

Hey man, why are you always ripping on me? What have I done to you. And as far as you trying to insult my intelligence, I can assure you, I am not as dimwitted as you might think.

Man up dude.....this is the internet, don't take things to heart.

Otherwise, I agree with Hat.....enough.....back to the original topic please

About my crapy TBI motor.. well, my rx7 V8 swap is a 'budget build up' for now, and the motor/tranny (well, a whole caprice) cost me $160. Cheapest TPI I found around here was in a trans am and it was $500, so being a cheep a$$ you can see which way I went. Later on, if I keep the car, it's no big deal to drop in a built TPI motor, re-wire, ect. Right now, it'll 'git er done' I still think it'll give that guys Stupra a run.. He was obviously not from the area, but most likely has a cottage or something up here... I hope he's in the area in a few weeks when I'm on the road..

You guys are just feeding the stereotype...

I've owned a MUSTANG GT that had a BUNCH of Cobra parts on it... I'm a Vette owner, and don't own a sinlge gold chain, and require a friggin' diamond file to get the grease out of the fingernails, and I've hjad a Datsun in the driveway since I was 22 and I'm now 39...

PuhLEASE!

Quit being elitist pricks and get on board with being car guys.,. Nect you'll be talking about how I bastardized my Zcar by putting a 383 stroker in it! :lmao::shock:

I dissagre.. I'm not bent out of shape over this guy, but just thought it was funny.. I'm a car guy.. I just like lots of cars. I could never understand the 'brand loyalty' mindset that some of these people get. AKA "the supra guys" or "The mustang guys" or whichever you want to tlak about.. THEY feed the stereotype as far as I'm conserned. I have found I like Nissan's in particular, but I've also owned Audi/VW, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Jeep, Isuzu, Ford and each had it's pros and cons.

I once raced a local hick in his claped out 81 Malibu (fuel leaking 305, rot box of a car) in a Ford Escort GT I had for a bit. This was one of those guys, Chevy is 'the best' and evrything else is junk. Just a light to light afair, but he barely nosed past me! (and yes, he WAS standing on it) I thought it was funny as heck. We pulled into a coffe shop and he starts going on about how stupid I was to try and race him in my POS Ford, I should have known he'd beat me, bla bla blah... :confused2 Comon man!! Your V8 is suposed to be able to beat my little escort!! Do I care? Did I feel the need to make excuses or cop attitude? Nope. It's just a car man, it does what it can do. :) I just can't help but laugh at these people though...

All Supra street race stories start out with... "So' date=' I was on the way to the Dyno when..."

You guys ar forgetting the Porsche guys. They rank up there with the Corvette and Supra elitists.

I'm going to start being a Zcar elitist. I'm going to go to all of the Supra forums and Corvette forums and talk smack about there heaps, LOL.[/quote']

I think most of them are worse. Some of the PCA events would happen the weekend or Thursday before an ALMS event. I'd be walking up to get some food for lunch and spot a nice GT3 and take a look. They'd just turn their noses up. Then, they find out that Flying Lizard is there and they're like kids in a candy store. All of the sudden they want to talk to you and the crew chief. Funny how that works.

Guys, I'm a Supra owner, and I must say I've enjoyed reading this thread. Lotta humor and a lotta truth in it. Our beloved MKIV Supra's have now dropped in price to where the wannabe's can afford them, and this is a crowd that hasn't done our image or reputation any favors.

I'm a fairly long term Supra fan, and have owned them pretty much continuously since my first MKIII in 1987. It's a car that tripped my trigger from the get go, and I still love them although I could certainly afford newer, flashier, or more comfortable cars. There's just something about how a big single turbo 2JZ nails you to the seat at 4000 rpm on a cool day that lets you know you're probably as close as you'll ever get to being in an F14 on afterburner.

It's true, our favorite start is a 3rd gear roll, but jeez, it's only a 3 litre motor with a little turbo so give us a break . Lots of folks that we embarrass have twice the displacement we do.

Don't diss the dyno queens too much; there's a lot of money to be made if you can churn out 1000 RWHP on a DynoJet. Try it, you might attract the attention of one of these Sport Import mags and that'll be worth a few thou to you.

Most of our long term Supra owners are really decent people. We love our cars just like you do your Z's, but we certainly appreciate fine hotrodding work no matter what the marque is. That's one reason I'm here!

we dont need a 1000hp to be fast, plus most if not everybody on this site just wants to build a car, not get it put in magazines.

even though we have a few magazine cars on this site.

but i have respect for supras, hell i owned one.

welcome to the site, you will like it here.

alot more friendly then Supraforums and alot more tech!

BTW... Thumper on this site scared a T66 MKIV supra last night at the races... guess he didnt want to get beat by a junkyard car :D

P.S. i have alot of respect for the Houston supra peeps.. alot of fast cars!
