Eric
are their any front arms that are longer than stock that will just bolt up with no mods? how diff is the s30 front suspension vs. the 240sx front?
rudypoochris
This may be a dumb question on my part, but, why?
260DET
Would doubt it, because with the 280ZX on the tension rods were run forward, not back. Could be something off a 240K or 300C if you have access to those.

Clifton
AZC http://arizonazcar.com/lowarms.html You can also use centric bushings to move the stockers out about 1/4". I cut and lengthend mine 10mm.
bjhines
A common way to increase negative camber for the S-30 front wheels is to redrill the mounting holes on the front crossmember....there are several write ups about this.
JMortensen
I believe the Datsun 710 has control arms that bolt up and they are a bit longer. I remember reading that a while back. Good luck finding a 710... Otherwise, redrill the holes or cut and lengthen the control arms.
Eric
This may be a dumb question on my part, but, why?tightens the turning radius. a guy on the s12 board put some s14 arms on his s12, the car looks like it can almost turn on itself. i don't want something that drastic, just a sharper turn over stock. Clifton
tightens the turning radius. How so? maybe I'm missing something but without increasing the wheel angle or shortening the wheel base I don't see how the turning radius would be effected. Pop N Wood
Shorter steering Knuckles should do the same thing: http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=23-4181
JMortensen
This is another dorifto thing, isn't it... I think he's thinking of the rack spacers that make the tie rods shorter than the control arm. Somebody brought them up a while back and what they do is fit in the end of the rack and they space the inner tie rod out so that the distance between the inner and outer tie rod are a shorter length than the distance between the control arm bushing and ball joint. This F's up the bumpsteer sumthin' fierce, but allows you to catch the *** end when it's way out there, and since drifters aren't going fast, maybe they don't care about the negative effects. The problem is that when you install a longer control arm, you have to lengthen the tie rod, otherwise you're going to have some massive toe in. So basically extending the control arm doesn't do anything to the relationship of the control arm to the tie rod, other than screw up the toe. When you fix the toe then you'll see that your control arms and tie rods are once again the same length. Longer control arms would give you more negative camber. That's about it. rudypoochris
Ok, atleast I am not the only one who thought this was a bad idea heh. But hey it is your car, but personally I would opt for the quick steering knuckles. Can canone coment on their required effort over stock? JMortensen
Increased effort isn't that bad. Nor is the twitchiness once you get used to it. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they reduce the Ackerman built into the front end, and I think that has a negative effect at autox in my car.
