Actually, I just relized that at the moment I do not carry insurance on the Z, for its in pieces. But my insurance company doesn't care what kind of car it is as long as its liability. I used to pay $120 on whatever I drove. This included a 93 sentra, 93 mazda truck, 81 ZX, and when I had the 78' Z it was the same. When I setup my own account it dropped $31. Next time I redo my insurance plan(4 months) My insurance is supposed to drop another 20-25 dollars, because of good grades and renewing the term.

USAA is great, if you or your parent were in the military, then you should deffinitly try to get it. If they have a good year, they'll actually send you money back instead of enrichining the pockets of the president.

I have two cars... an old beat-up Mazda 626 and the Alpha 1. When I added the Alpha 1 to my insurance, I was told each car would cost me $34. I set my insurance up for aut-pay and thay're taking $86 per month. I'll have to call them on this.

DO NOT GET A NEGLEGENT DRIVING TICKET! 20mph+ over the limit.

it took my insurance from 50 to 120.....and they almost dropped me for good. damn R1 gets me into so much trouble with the cops. it's worth it though.

I got a 102 in a 65... my insurance statement just shows "speeding ticket." :D

Provider:Forsighth (I think?)

Cost: $/month: Not insured right now, but last may it was $75 a month. I hope it will go down when I turn 18 (about one month) and hopefully will have the car running by then.

huh i pay $120 comprehensive insurance, sometimes insurance companies (i.e. Geico, Progressive) that insure you over the phone will give you an INITIAL quote, which sounds pretty good. But then they'll look up your record and that quote will change, see http://oneshopinsurance.com to check different insurance companies and their prices too. So be sure the prices you're getting are the exact price you're paying when you sign on that dotted line.

Infractions:exhibition of accerlation and unsafe lane change (record is clear though)

Location:Houston,TX

Car:95 240sx

Infractions:none yet

Location:Houston,TX

Provider:State Farm

Coverage:Everything except comprehensive

USAA wanted way too much money so my Z sits with no insurance for now. It's going to go on classic car insurance with State Farm probably next summer so that I can full coverage on it with a low monthly.
