  1. Oh. you're in australia. I don't think you would want to pay for shipping from across the world (alaska)
  2. I'll take the SX bell housing, if you're not going to be doing anything with it.
  3. I see. I wouldn't think that the rigidity would compromised that~ much. If it still concerns you, tack weld some pipe inside to give it some support. Then remove once you the new ones in.
  4. 1" square tubing and some sheet metal. But why do you have to cut out the old supports? can't you just use some steel plate and mount that onto the seats and then the old rails on to that? The only real reason I can see to cut out the supports is because you need to replace the whole floor.
  5. To pop off the horn pad, I need to get at the screws on the back, which the spokes are in the way, as I mentioned before. EDIT: ok nevermind. I thought it was like the later model 280z wheel. I just needed to press in hard and twist
  6. That gold plating is nonsense . If was going to be effective with it, he should of used it on some of the hot parts to dissipate heat.
  7. Not the most expensive. I remember seeing a 432z on japan yahoo auction for WAY more than that
  8. I have a wheel like that. Little worn. I'll post pics later. How do you remove it from the column? I can't get to the 2 remaining screws because the wheel spokes are in the way.
  9. Do all you fab/welding before laying sound deadener and carpet.
  10. I "think." I have one. I have to go check. I don't think it has the center plate though. the plastic piece that goes into the center of the horn/pad
  11. That was great, but I would be a slight (not even) bit concern, if they turned around and try to press GTA charges against him. (these type of things do happen )
  12. 10 mpg? My jeep gets like 12 (needs a rebuild). Puts things into perspective
  13. Uh... Oregon is trying to pass this? IIRC Oregon is cold in winter and sometimes the roads ice over. That equaled to "less rolling resistance" (skinnier) tires would equal people spinning out, unable to accelerate from stop, and ditch divers everywhere
  14. GOD. Every time I see these build vids, it makes me want to work on my car. Problems (mine ); Space, winter, $$$ Lookin good. Hope you don't blind anybody
  15. Buying used, you can buy a turbo and some misc parts for that money. Its all about priorities
  16. Well clarify a little when you state that. It sounded like you were directing that comment at mull. I will say that my comment about rushing this wasn't directed at you. It was just for those who are impatient to see mull's car finished.
  17. In am not positively sure, but I think those have a larger diameter.
  18. craigslist and ebay is your best bet
  19. Dude. read it 2 year old. Vibration will kill you carputer. Get a SSD drive and hot glue or silicone around the capacitors. Using a mac mini will be harder that it seems. the AC/DC PSU gives off a 16v line, your car will give off 14v at the MAX. You can wire in a power inverter but it will look messy and inefficient. Do yourself a favor if you try to build a carputer. 1.use a mini/micro ITX board. 2.buy a 100-200 watt 12v PSU 3.Get a SSD drive 4.use silicone also around the ram, thats have know to pop out just because of vibration. good luck
  20. Does it "have" to be awd? I'm sure that you could attach it to a ferio tranny with an adaptor plate. "Or" eliminate the drive shaft, use a rwd oil pan and find a suitable front diff, then just that drive shaft? Might make the car a bit long but I believe that, that is how lambo has its set on some of there cars.
  21. Its a little more involved that you think. I know. I have done it. Even though its a smaller engine, you still have clearance issues, like the front sump KA/SR oil pan hitting the cross member, and the back of the block being about an inch of clearance from the firewall.
  22. I don't know what 323 headlights, but I find that most, if not all, car headlights are too wide when traditionally mounted.
  23. To be more specific, The 240Z lights have the reverse lights integrated with the rest of the lights. The 260z/280z have the reverse light separate from the brake and turn signals.
