  1. nope, just less sought after because of the whole EGR/carb setup (fail ). He can always change that
  2. I suggest cutting the hood a little to make it flush with the fenders. Kinda looks out of place.
  3. I say, build you own CCTV setup. All you need are some cameras, a CCTV card, a cheap PC and some HDD. A 16 channel card is like $120. To monitor remotely, you can setup Terminal services (Remote desktop connection server services), but you need XP pro. IF you're going to use RDC to monitor, I suggest setting the recording at 10~20 FPS, because the RDC doesn't work well with video playback by itself, you need to setup VLC with remote video playback.
  4. Looks good. Bottom just needs to be more shapely IMO. Its your car, make it the way you want it
  5. Wrong layout. You would have to convert the laterally mounted engine into a longitudinally mounted engine. It can be done, but it would be like converting a SR20DE out of a infinity G20 (fwd) into rwd. More work than what its worth IMO.
  6. Any body know "for sure" if the SR20DET transmission bell housing is the same as a KA24DE transmission bell housing?
  7. SSD > CF cards. currently SDD are made in 32, 64, and 128 GB drives.
  8. One of my cars was driven up from socal to anchorage, then to fairbanks and back to anchorage
  9. In my area it is, but no one really cares. Its one of those things that cops can't pull you over for, but if he does for a different reason he "could" add it onto the ticket as a "fix it or pay" ticket. If the cop can't tell that it was there in the first place, then he doesn't know .
  10. I don't think you will have to. those welds look clean and plenty strong from what I can see in the photo. If you are going to dress the welds, then I would finish them, but thats just me.
  11. Had the same problem. Check the AFM
  12. IIRC, it was just batch firing. depending on the board MS you have, there are 2 injector drivers. You wire 1-3 on one and 4-6 on the other, by default they all fire at the same time IIRC. Its been a couple years since I researched MSnS, so might want to double check first before taking my word for it.
  13. If its just surface rust (orange), then I wouldn't worry. If its pitted or hard rust (brown), I would just have them resurfaced.
  14. IMO the NSX is overpriced for what it provides stock, but its a "pretty pretty, oh so pretty" car
  15. not necessarily true. My car was only rusted on the lower 3 or 4 inches. This is do to SNOW and ICE scratching away at the undercoating and then re-incapsulating the moisture (and salt). Under coating is primality used for sound and heat insulation, as well as scratch prevention. Not for waterproofing. If you really want, you can undercoat it with some bed liner stuff. I just saw that they sell it in a spray can now. $11 a can where I saw it.
  16. I had this stuff on my car prior to me owning it. When this stuff scratches and "heals" it self over, it gives moisture opportunity to become incased and will eventually reach the paint. Since you are in texas I don't think its a big issue, Its just a hassle and a mess to put on.
  17. I have a 75 and 78 280Z. I can clarify that they are the same.
