  1. So i see that http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt46936/JDM__G_NOSE__KIT__240ZG_ has replicated the entire g nose components. Im just curious if anyone has sorced or made replica chrome trim pieces around the headlight lense? or i suppose you will have to fab these up yourself? The G nose looks like poo without the lense imo.
  2. get a lower offset wheel or thinner tire. Maybe put spacers on temporary. that should work.

  4. think he would sell some of those emblems to us guys in teh US??
  5. I hear they might release 16x8 0 offset.. so hopefully those come out heheh
  6. how about the new sport max wheels?? Id love to see someone with these.. could steal the spotlight from the Konigs.. these are better size too! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Sport-Max-Racing-P002-15x8-0-Offset-Corolla-AE86-S13-xB_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43955QQitemZ8038590762QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
  7. Good that is a non-hicas *like 4wheel steering* subframe... I know the JDM cars had it as an option in japan, but the USDM 240sx s14 never came with it.
  8. any idea if this stuff will shoot good out of a hlvp spray gun? just wondering, super cheap alternative then auto paint if it does come out good, and less worry about messing it up.
  9. KA and SR trannys are practically the same... For the auto tranny im sure it would work, but just have to change the bell housing. *im not familur with auto trannys tho, but with 5speed tranny thats all that has to be done* KA and SR have different drive shafts tho. but its no biggy
  10. Id flip them around, having adjustibility to go into the negative camber range can help dial in the suspension for grip. Otherwise, its like they installed them for "camber correction" like something you would need to do for a lowered vehicle. Those are pretty nice camber plates btw, no idea who makes em. But im sure someone does. my only nitpick about them is they could have been slotted more for a wider range of adjustment.
  11. sorry, i shoulda mentioned.. 92 240sx s13.. completed blacktop srswap, nismo 2way lsd, tein he coilovers, tension rods, tie rods, hks fmic, z32 full brakes front and rear, apexi s-afc, greddy profec b spec II boost controller, stainless manifold, downpipe, 3inch exhuast, solid motor mounts, raybrig headlights, jdm 180sx type x tails, real silvia s14 seats etc.. i should have it painted white soon. i feel its value is simular, set up 240sx on ebay/internet is usually around 10k.
  12. why reinvent teh wheel? Anyways, for the price, techno toy tuning produces a pretty affordible set of weld in camber plates. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/240Z-260Z-280Z-Nissan-Datsun-Suspension-CAMBER-PLATES_W0QQitemZ8036605467QQcategoryZ33581QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem They are somewhat known in the toyota corrola ae86 scene for thier parts.
  13. so you still have the car? I finished my car so if you would still be interested in a trade.. Otherwise I may list my car on ebay or craigslist at a starting of $10k
  14. its a given that anything can drift, its just not gonna be on a competitive level as something in say d1 unless you build the crap out of the car *stiffer suspension/chassis, brakes/tires, etc* , and of course try to gain more steering angle out of the steering rack. Theres a 280zx drifting in the japanese dvd DriftMax, as scene in the trailer.. http://www.driftmax.com/ I wonder what they say about it. But it does look cool.
  15. make sure your subframe is not from a hicas model 240sx (that 4 wheel steering setup).. since you say you got lsd with it, it might be, but you can tell if it looks like a steering rack is mounted on the subframe. I dont think it would be possible to hook that up (theres a bunch of computer devices for that etc), so you can get a hicas eliminator kits. One advantage of the hicas subframe is they come with bigger sway bars, but that can be swapped over to standard subframes as well. http://Splparts.com has alot of good suspension links/arms parts etc. Id recommend the option of going to subframe spacers/collars or bushings which fit over the exsisting stock bushings, they tend to get worn out, and for the little cost of the upgrade it helps make everything solid. Thats pretty much it, rear upper control arms are nice to have to adjust camber.
  16. i think one reason why teh 240sx subframe would be easier to do for some is becuase 240s are cheaper and mroe plentiful. Ive yet to see a C6 in a junk yard, or even anything from 1999 and above lol. But im not sayin this cuz I have a 240sx, but becuase no one ever really modifies the subframe. Simular suspension found on the skylines and 300zx. Usually a desired must for the rear is the rear upper control arms for camber adjustments, and rear toe arm to correct the toe from modified ride hieghts. and usually these upgrades consist of using ball pivot joints instead of bushings as the stock arms are. So I think its a good mod for someone who doesnt want to spend all thier time doing homework and or fabricating, or like the average joe like me, who just wants something effective, affordible and just drive.
  17. http://nissanperformancemag.com/march04/240sr/ Did you consider maybe its a faulty ignitor chip?
  18. If your brave, run some Seafoam, purchased at Napa Auto etc..
  19. looks nice! what camber plates are those? and is there a site for TTT? edit nvm.. its Techno Toy Tuning... probably new item since its not on thier site.
  20. Hypertek

    z31 swap

the japanese z31 came with a rb20det, so im sure any rb is doable.. also ive seen pics of sr20s in there, so even a ka24de would fit the same way. How bout a 13bt rotary engine!?!
  21. Really? I never heard of 240sx calipers taking a dump... And i know 240s.. The calipers are good, esp with aftermarket brake pads and stainless steel lines... But I have z32 calipers all around on my 240sx. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v72/streetphase/100_05895.jpg Other brakes should mount up if those brackets allow 240sx calipers. Q45 brakes are fairly larger, same size as the z32 but single piston I belive instead of 4 piston. Altima calipers and maxima rotors is another swap done to 240sxs since it is basically the same size setup that the japanese model had came with (bigger then US model).
  22. but that offset must look horrible on a z or any rwd car.. is there even enough spoke clearence to run bigger brakes if you had them?
  23. s13s has finned rear diff cover. I know there is slight difference between 89-90 model and 91-94.. mine is a 92, only difference I recall is the oil fill hole is in a easyier to access location on the 89-90. Oh yah, my diff is a open differential housing, but I had installed a Nismo 2way clutch type lsd internals I have a friend with a base model S14 (open diff), and I remember thier diff cover did not have fins, it was smooth. I cant recall if the SE model with vlsd had it. Nissan offered a VLSD from the factory which has a different housing and different output/drive shafts, but thats going to be only in the SE hicas model subframe. But it will fit the standard subframe.
  24. i dont see why not.. however, the rear upper control arms are shaped different between s13 and s14, they are different to allow room for the strut, so I presume the location is slightly different.. But s14 rear upper control arms will work on s13 since it clears (im sure that sounds confusing) This is BattleVersions rear upper control arm, they make 1 type of arm that fits both s13 and s14.
