I ran it in a relatively expensive porsche motor for 1k miles because I had some noisy lifters. I added Seafoam straight to the engine oil (Mobile 1 sythn.) The lifters did quiet down... but it took some time. Oil was pretty black after 1k mi so I changed it then. I think maybe I've only got 1 sticky lifter left, and planning on doing a second treatment. BTW, I ran 2 track events while on Seafoam, so it won't grenade your motor. I figured my oil was "only" diluted 10% Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Seafoam, and do not recommend you race your engine on it

That was awesome! I've shunned the idea of electric performance cars until now. Wonder how long a charge lasts? I do miss the growl an internal combustion motor, but I could get used to it with hole shots like that! Interesting how the total impact of "green" energy isn't talked about much in the media.

Fully stopped in 405 gridlock, I got rear ended in the Honduh Accordian over the weekend. I broke the seat back and the seat scootcher-upper track thing, and I'm not a big guy. Poor brother in law sitting in back gets his knees crammed by my seat breaking. I don't know if it was designed to fail that way or not, because I seemed to have gotten bruised the least. My passenger did not break her seat, and her knees got banged into the dash. I must be slow because it was like 3000MS after the initial impact that I was like WTF just happened??!! (driver did not brake at all, no screeching tires, no nothing). 1ms after I realized I'd been rear-ended, surprise! a SECOND car bashes us again. The cabin stayed intact, though the roof buckled. I'm glad the car held up so good.

I may need someone to look at a motor and help with shipping since I am in WA. I would of course pay you for your time. The seller does not want to deal with shipping (right now), so I need someone there to make sure it get's shipped and I'm not getting ripped off. This is not a scam or anything like that. I will let you know. A friend has 240sx sitting for 4-5yrs with full tank of gas. He said it started a month ago but ran rough at first. I'll be trouble shooting it next few days...

It's best to have an air-supplied respirator. The filtration respirators are inadequate for silica blasting; the particulate is too small.

That looks like an impressive motor. It sure will be interesting how they'll contain the heat. Also I'm not doubting what your BMW friend said, but I'm guessing that there is a healthy headroom in the design of the ttL6 for manufacturing reasons. If tolerances are on the razor's edge, it would open them up to a lot of warranty work. Wishful thinking on my part I guess...

While MIG welding, what I thought was a stuck trigger, resulted in a big scare. I scrambled fast to turn off the machine while long looms of hot wire some 7ft long was ejecting uncontrollably until I pulled the plug on the welder. This could have punctured a tank or something explosive nearby. Luckily it didn't and I was not in a confined area and could make it to the welder relatively quickly. This happened a couple more times after 10 min of 180 Amp welding. Turns out my "connector" relay was sticking and was worn (moderate/heavy hobbyist use). Now I still feel slightly uneasy about any welding where I am confined, and can't rush out in a hurry. My welder works fine with a new connector now, but whenever I weld these days I make sure I have a fast escape route and that I can pull the plug quickly.

130 indicated in 240Z with Cartech Turbo kit on an L28. It was still pulling, then suddenly I realized we had HR rated tires!
