  1. Just got the booster replaced today . One word , WOW ! What a big difference the 10" booster makes over the 8" . I'm going keep the stock brakes for now , don't see a reason to upgrade the system . Have to check and see if the auto Z has different linkage ( or pedal set up ) , would like to have the pedal engages a little higher ( maxed out on adjustment ) .
  2. I was talking about the fact. Nissan clutch master cylinder that came with the car . I bought an adapter and a hyd. line from Speedway and using Nissan clutch master on my 83 ZXT LS1/t56 conversion . I was trying to keep the cost down . Most of my parts for both of my conversions came from local stores . Two project cars are costing me a lot . LOL . Soon ( like 3 more yrs ) , i'll do the same to my 91 300ZX . I have to wait until it's emmision exempt . LOL
  3. How long was the car in storage , could be bad fuel ?
  4. 83 turbo has a fuel pump control module , have you looked there ? Left kick panel area .
  5. LS swap can start out cheap then it gets crazy . Mine costed around $2500 ( after i sold the Z drivetrain for $850 ) . And all the work was done by me .
  6. Has anyone else tried the OE clutch master ? It works on my 83 280ZXT .
  7. Thanks . Going different route , Walbro pump .
  8. We are in the same boat . Can't work on the car when gf has her weekend off . LOL . And I'm getting a little lazy . Have too much fun driving the car and don't want to tear it apart yet .
  9. Thanks . I'm going the same route , getting a Walbro pump .

    LS1 w/ Auto .
  12. Direct bolt-on ? Do you know if it has internal relief valve and if so , at what psi ?
  13. Borini63 , do you have another one , must be turbo fuel pump ? N/A has lower relief psi. than turbo , won't work with my LS1 conversion . Using OE at this time , relief valve opens before regulated psi. , not much .
  14. It's only March . LOL . I haven't started on my suspension and still so much to do before paint . And I only work on my car on the weekends .
  15. roger280zx is correct , only ZXTs came with CV . I had the same problem when tried to get new axles for my 83ZXT ( after LS1 conversion ) . They were too long , tried at 3 different local stores . Got the boot kits and rebuilt mine ( boots were the reason y i wanted to replace them ) .
  16. My project is very similar to yours . Fortunately , the Z28 i bought not as bad as yours . I use full Z28 driveshaft with JTR adapter , shortened and balanced costed me $85 ) . Here's the Z28 i got for $1900 ( 60k miles ) , after taxes , fees = $2500 . Sold the car for $725 and still have wheels , tires , and a set of full length ceramic coated headers ( haven't sold them yet ) . I reworked the OE harness with Ebay ECM ( $125 ) .
  17. Like i said , no reason to check your exterior light ckt. . Concentrate on illumination side of the ckt. , from rheostat to illumination .
  18. Amen to that . New doesn't mean good , I've been in the car bus. long enough to know . Imagine replacing an elctrical part that you know is bad and still have the same problem with the new part , it'll make you scratch head and doubt yourself ( did i misdiag. the problem ? ) .
