    Whatever you did to by-pass the dimmer ( rheostat ) , undo it and install new fuse ( preffered ckt breaker ) and recheck . From what i read , the fuse was ok until you by-passed the dimmer switch . You might have illumination wire pitched somewhere , don't think exterior lights are the cause .

    Check your cold components : like air regulator , cold start inj. , and therm. switch .

    Just got my done 2 months ago , 78 Z . Not too crazy about the 2+2 , but yours looks good . I have R200 , so far so good . Need to upgrade the CVs , as soon as i can find a wrecked late model Z31 turbo . Better to use full GM drive shaft with JTR adapter .

    OK . How about trying to put the MAF on the discharge side of the turbo to see if it runs better . Or back probe the MAF signal to the ECM ( preffered do it with a lab scope ) to see how smooth the signal is .

    Any pic. of your setup ? The location of you MAF , intake or discharge side of the turbo ? I would use a smoke machine to check for any kind of leak on your intake side of the system , including the intercooler , hoses , pipes , BOV , everything before the throttle body . Maybe the MAF is not getting correct reading due to leaking components .

    The reason for covers is to keep water away from coils . It'll be awhile before i get a chance to play with them . They will fit , after trimming , nicely with 8" booster . I'm installing a 10" booster so they won't fit pretty . Too much other work to do at this time , detail work .

    Is there a retainer clip ( c-clip ) , did you remove it ?

    Have you installed them ? If yes , any fitment issues ?

    Don't think you have to drill anything , should be a direct bolt-on . If you don't mind , test the brakes before and after changing the front set-up and let me know . I'm trying to do all my conversions with parts from local stores , not too crazy about custom parts . This makes it easier and faster to replace them ( most are lifetime war. LOL ) .

    How much ? Got mine at O'Reilly for $110 , lifetime warranty . Which master cylinder are using ?

    There are threads in here stated that you will need some kind of proportioning valve with your brake combo setup . Sounds like you are getting too much front bias .

    The 87 300ZX won't work without mod. and it's about 8" diam. but a little thicker . Going to use the 10" booster with bigger master cylinder , 79-81 280ZX . Unless i can find a different master . Here are 2 pics. 10" booster will not work with standard trans w clutch master cylinder . This is the reason why standard trans. has 8" booster .

    Was not able to find unfinished covers on ebay . Going to put this on back burner for now , too big . They will work with 8" booster , which i have at this time . But i'm going to install the 10" booster for more assist . Not planning on keeping them as chrome . Going to paint them with red/black with some kind of logo .

    Yeah , i saw those covers . I didn't like the price . Bought these on ebay for $35 , new + free shipping . Thought i give them a try . We'll see how they turn out when i'm done trimming them . Wish they are not chrome , don't know if i can trim them without damaging the chrome .

    Thanks . Bought all silicone hoses and clamps off ebay , cheap . 3" pipe from leftover , my exh. sys.

    Got mine from Jeg . Comes straight out and uses old school t-stat .

    Me and my friend , Matt w 5.3/6spd , was thinking about going . Don't think my half shafts , OE , can handle it . Lol . We might go though .
